Oh wow! When Ibby said "floating city" I remembered that thing on stilts, due to the classic War of the Worlds comics resemblance. But I had no idea that was one of the wonders!
I'm on work travel, so let me think on a new question.

OK sorry for the delay folks. Work trip + Yard chores + Fathers Day = no time.
With some quick thinking, Duo Damsel saves Element Lad's life. What was her solution typically used for?

It was some kind of emergency sealant for spacehips because he was unconscious and his spacesuit was leaking oxygen? EDIT: spaceships, not spacehips.....I'd be concerned if my spacehips needed any kind of emergency sealant

Raz is close enough here - it was window sealant, which is basically the same thing. Element Lad, Colossal Boy, Duo Damsel and Bouncing Boy are fighting the Djinn over the mining planet where Lu and Chuck are at, and somehow Jan's space helmet gets punctured. Quick thinking Lu sprays her window sealant - used to fix cracks in the harsh climate of the mining colony! Over to you raz! And god knows I feel like my space hips need SOME kind of sealant these days.

Good going raz! I now have this image in my mind of a cover with Element Lad floating in space. Wonder if I can find it - Got it. LOSH #267. Knew the cover looked familiar.

Yep. The main battle with the Djinn takes place in the prior issue, but curiously doesn't seem to show Jan's helmet getting damaged, unless you assume that it happens when he collides with Gim.
The issue just opens with his helmet leaking.

stile has got it, it's the wedding wands from Jo and Tinya's fake-out wedding!
(also, full disclosure: there may be something to do with the touchstones and weddings in continuities from the reboot forward, but if there is I am blissfully unaware of it lol)

It was the only wedding tradition from the Legion stories that I could remember!
When Dawnstar was transported by Harbinger on behalf of the Monitor to join numerous other heroes, she was surprised but which other character particularly astonished her?

Well, color me surprised - I had thought the wedding sticks were a Titanian tradition because they appeared at the wedding of Tenzil Kem to Saturn Queen.

Well, color me surprised - I had thought the wedding sticks were a Titanian tradition because they appeared at the wedding of Tenzil Kem to Saturn Queen. Tom and Mary seem to have gotten confused by the fact that they originate in the Murran spies story in which Garth/Imra and Jo/Tinya both have fake weddings, and switched the wedding sticks from Tinya's homeworld to Imra's. I suppose one could suggest that the publicity surrounding these weddings may have spread the tradition from one culture to the other.

I like the idea of wedding traditions spreading, too! thanks all for the walk down memory lane, and the trivia expertise.
nice Q, stile. I always liked those lines, too!
