My character's team has had its own self-titled book.

Male white/caucasian human being from United States of America, Earth.
Generallly considered heroic.
Debuted prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Originally from the Earth-1 universe.
Associated with a particular super-hero team that has had its own self-titled book, but not the Justice League, Doom Patrol, Teen Titans or Outsiders as either a member or non-member.
Does not generally have powers beyond those of a normal human being, but did for a brief period.
Adventures mostly occur during the time period in which they were published.
Not an H-Dial user.

Will Magnus?

I am thinking of Doctor Will Magnus!

Good thought about the Metal Men and Will Magnus, Ibby, and good pick CMK. The Metal Men are one of those groups that everyone knows but rarely thinks about.

Was also a nice trick character, in a few ways - whether the character was part of the Metal Men per se, and the having powers bit!

I've always thought of him as a genuine member, even in his normal state, but certainly when he was "Veridium" he was one (unless that's written off as a dream or some such, which supposedly was the case in-universe, but makes no sense, since others encountered him in that state).

He was definitely a full Metal Man as Veridium. in his normal state, I think it depends on the writer, as he is the creator too.

it's a bit akin to early days Professor X, in my mind.
