I remember that shape-shifting loss! Joint Avengers and Fantastic Four Annual crossover. Can't remember the Super-Skrull bit though. Must have come up after.
Was the Super-Skrull dead at the time?

He was out of range of whatever caused the loss in the others?

stile is closer to the real answer than Ibby is. And yes, this is something that came up later, not during that story itself.

He was not previously stripped of his shape-shifting abilities, if that's what you mean by that.

He got his enhanced shape shifting powers from a ray, so they were not lost to him like the other skrulls?

He was in a laboratory being "created" at the time?

Neither of the above. Since no one remembers, I'll give it to stile, whose guess was closest, and explain: he was not dead (as stile had guessed), but he was disembodied, converted into particles of radiation following a flight against Alpha Flight. It was after the de-powerment of all other Skrulls that he was reconstituted from this state by the Silver Surfer, his shape-shifting abilities intact.

Ain't comics wonderful? Where else can you be converted into a stream of particles of radiation and not be dead? Wait, that sounds like a Star Trek teleporter - which is why I am NEVER getting into one. As far as I'm concerned I die at one end and a duplicate that only thinks it is me is created at the other.
Anyway, good question. Hmm.
Following the Avengers involvement in the Kree/Shiar War and Operation Galactic Storm, at the conclusion of which some of the team "kill" the Supreme Intelligence, Captain America who is the current Chairman announces that he will be giving a lecture on Ethics that evening and asks everyone to attend. In the end why doesn't he deliver the lecture?

That Sasquatch encounter was going to be my next guess on the last question! This question: He uncovered that the Supreme Intelligence was actually Nixon in disguise, and abandoned his super identity?

That Sasquatch encounter was going to be my next guess on the last question! This question: He uncovered that the Supreme Intelligence was actually Nixon in disguise, and abandoned his super identity? HA! Sorry but no. Only 3 Avengers showed up You obviously remember the scene well. Yes only Hawkeye, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch showed up, none of whose ethics Cap was concerned with. He looks at them, stunned, says "This is pointless." and walks off. In a nice follow-up, Clint, in civies, barges into Steve's room where he is questioning his role in Avengers and acting somewhat depressed, and Clint insists that Steve join him on a casual trip to a local bar and jumps up and down on his bed until Steve agrees. Clint goes to play Pool while Steve is surprised to be joined by Tony, one of those who participated in the killing of the Supreme Intelligence. Tony gives him a talk, thanking him for his involvement in the Avengers, saying he can't understand how Steve maintains his unjaded view of the world but he appreciates it and thinks the team really needs him there. It's a good scene showing how the two men can have different viewpoints and yet be glad that they are both part of the same team. Your turn Ibby.

yeah, quite sad. not a single one of those who went to kill the Supreme Intelligence showed up... well, only 3 showing up is really sad.
They really captured poor Steve's disillusionment. And that last scene with Tony talking to Cap helped a lot too. it was very nice.
ok let's see...
in the Golden Age "Elseworlds" storyline, a massive fight breaks out at the end, with several casualties. Which hero was the first to die?

I guess the first casualty of the occasion was when Robotman killed Miss America, though that wasn't during the major melee, it sort of triggered it.

this wasn't intended to be a trick question - I was thinking of Miss America! though indeed, that was what triggered the big fight, but she was the first to die that day...

That mini-series was so brilliant. The only part I disliked was Robotman turning evil for no apparent reason.
Early in the run of X-Factor, the Beast was reverted from his furry form to his original human-with-big-extremities look. What adverse effect did that reversion have on him?

A dark time for Beast, indeed!
When the Reboot Legion fought COMPUTO, 6 20th century heroes guest-starred. Who were they?

I know Superman did. Not sure about the others. (Or maybe that doesn't count because the Legion were guest starring in his comic?)

Superman counts, so that’s one much of the fight against COMPUTO was in the Legion’s own book
