There was a Mount Rushmore of Space in the Mask Man story, but it's not one of the 7 wonders. It's on the right track, though.

No planetary force field, but there is something that circles the globe.

Not a building that levitates, but, again, that's on the right track.

I read this story, but my memory is so hazy!

Was there some kind of giant statue?

How about a satellite?

Floating city?

There's a actually a hall of giant statues of historical figures!

Not a satellite, though that would have probably made more sense than the actual answer.

Not a floating city, but it is a city!

Correct answers, so far:

1. Reverse Waterfall
2. Weather Control
3. Fusion Powersphere
4. Earth tunnel.
5. Hall of Giant Statues.

I am impressed by the gang's memory! I was scratching my head but so many mentioned are now more familiar.

Was it a city in Atarctica that was heated by some tower?

I'm pretty sure there is such a city depicted in a Legion story (I'm blanking on which one; it's not Ice City in Antarctica from the Oggar-Kon story, which was my first thought), but that's not one of the 7 wonders.

Warmth is important to the city in question, however.

EDIT: That would be South Pole City, from that obscure Legion issue, Adv. 247!

Basically! Sun City was a city in perpetual sunlight due to traveling on a track around the Earth! It's always been my favorite of the 7 Wonders!

Fun fact: it would have to average over a 1000 miles per hour to travel the circumference of the Earth once per day!

So, now we have:

1. Reverse Waterfalls
2. Weather Control
3. Fusion Powersphere
4. Earth tunnel
5. Hall of giant statues
6. Sun City

And one more to go!

Yep. I thought of that a few hours later, picturing Superboy using a mgnetic lodestone to "fix" the collapsing tower. Got there in the end.

No clue to the last wonder though. Were these listed in the story where Val, Ferro, Jeckie and Nemesis Kid joined?

Pretty sure these came from the first Starfinger story. But darned if I remember any of the more obscure ones.

It's interesting that two of Binder's four Legion stories featured a city in Amtartica.

Starfinger sets out to destroy the seven wonders if he's not given the rejuvium that the Legion is guarding.

The final.one is a laboratory, but what's special about it?

Nope, though I would imagine getting in and out would be a challenge.

Is it the one where there they create the "serum of youth" so that people can still be called Lad/Lass? smile

The plot of story focuses around rejuvium, which has a de-aging effect, but the lab in question has no particular connection to it.

Looks like I lost a post. I was actually thinking rejuvium was another story, and was going to go with it being connected with time travel?

It's probably lost in time.

Nothing to do with time travel, though the Time Institute seems like it would be more impressive.

The key is where the lab is.

The 7 Wonders are Earth-specific. Though not being on Earth is a guess in the right direction.

Oh wait, isn't it that thing that looks like its one of those War of the Worlds tripods?

I'll take that. The stratosphere lab, which allows scientists to perform experiments in the upper atmosphere, which is attached to the Earth by very long pole legs, is the seventh wonder!

Having figured out the last one, Gaseous Lad gets the next question!
