Thanks everyone for the wishes and the wonderful comments. I appreciate the thoughts from you terrific bunch.
I expected a rather quiet day yesterday but first my mother and sister rang up from interstate (Mum gave me a T-shirt with a Windows-style dialog box titled "Solar System" - "Are you sure you want to delete Pluto as a planet? Yes/No" which I thought was hilarious), then my best friend rang up and asked if he could drop in, bringing lunch and a cake, then my son and his girlfriend dropped in with flowers and a fun bag of munchies and small gifts, and then my daughter dropped in with a copy of All-Star Superman for me. It was a a very full and enjoyable day.

I had a fun family birthday lunch on Saturday. Everyone came round including my daughter's boyfriend and we all enjoyed ourselves. Ended up playing Mysterium which is a kind of combination of Dixit and Clue/Cluedo, where we are all co-operatively trying to find out from a ghost who killed them, where and with what. However the ghost can only communicate by dreams which are cards handed out tot he investigators with weird artistic pictures that give some clue as to who or where or what. The ghost also cannot talk but only knock on the table once for no and twice for yes. A great time was had discussing what the various dreams could mean and what the ghost was trying to say.
As a bonus my bible study group last night gave me a cake and we had a pleasant evening catching up.
