Alice in Sunderland uses Lewis Carroll and Alice's life and story, interweaving it with other tales and history of Sunderland and other bits of the north of England. Lots of different art styles. All by Bryan Talbot. Well worth a look. Thanks for the recommendation, Thoth. Bryan Talbot is one of comics' true Renaissance men.

I loved the Disney Renaissance period. I feel very fortunate that I saw Beauty and the Beast on a big screen, during its original theatrical run.

I still remember the ballroom scene, how sweeping it was. And not just because of Fifi and the feather dusters

Strictly Ballroom is a movie I'll watch someday. It's from the director of Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strictly_Ballroom

I used to have mine indexed, but soon lost the urge to keep it updated.

Why did the database administrator break up with their index?
Because they couldn’t find a unique key to their heart!

So… do we count this as Thoth killing the thread? Or not?
Well, LW was offline so I think it doesn’t count… therefore we can continue to try and kill this thing!

I think my one kill was on a technicality of the boards being down? I'm not sure.

Some of the folks still haven’t found their way back
I made it through pure luck - I can’t access LW on my laptop or on my other phone! It was luck that I tried with this phone

I can't get it on my phone but it showed up on my laptop when I tried today.
Maybe a cache issue or something?

I think the board going down totally counts. Just the luck of the draw, and I think there's precedent for it.
