Thomas Moriarty (hiding the shame of his ancestry) was set to marry Mary Watson, descended from the sidekick of Sherlock Holmes, whose centenarian self appears at the story's climax to help stop another Moriarty descendant's attempt to kill Queen Elizabeth II and to bless the union of the good Moriarty descendant to Miss Watson. The book also featured Slam Bradley, who appeared in the first issue of Detective Comics, as well as Batman and Robin, the usual stars, and Elongated Man.
