I just re-read that issue yesterday! I noticed for the first time (IIRC) Star Boy and Triad hanging out on the roof on the cover. I had also forgotten that Chlorophyll Kid left a trail of trees as he limped away....

CMK has it - Stone Boy lots of nice little Easter Eggs there, like Ral and the trees! We also have Charma making a woman murderously angry

That was a fun issue indeed. A bit of humor but not as stupidly silly as the one the Bierbaums did in the pre-ZH Legionnaires series.
When the Legion's origin was re-told in the Secret Origins series, which Golden-Age hero's origin did they share the issue with? (Back then, the issues were double-size, featuring one Golden Age origin story and one Silver-Modern age origin story.)

The Cover sticks in my mind. Sticking with Secret Origins, a later issue had three legionnaires' origins. Who were they and what did they have in common.

It was a nice touch in that issue that Invisible Kid I had such a prominent role in the Chemical King story.
Which Legionnaire trained to infiltrate the Taurus Gang, and which one actually did so when the first one couldn't carry that plan out?

I think that Lyle/Condo story was the beginning of the buzz that Lyle/Condo could, in some interpretations, have been a couple. Although TBH, reading the story, I felt they were very close friends.
I do wish the Reboot had gone the route of making Lyle/Condo a confirmed couple.
Ultra Boy trained to infiltrate, and Dream Girl actually infiltrated?

I remember that story well, and how it sowed the seeds of future characterizations - 5YL Jo being smarter than he looks and a great actor, and Nura also being smarter and tougher than she looks!
ok, let's see...
Something also for the geography nerds. In which modern-day country did the Reboot's Substitute Heroes set up their base?
