Not the Time Trapper. As a hint - the event was kind of a run of the mill spaceship breakup, nothing dramatic that impacts timelines or anything.

In Adventure 346 (the debut of Projectra, Ferro Lad, Karate Kid and Nemesis Kid), the Legion splits up to defend against a Khund invasion. When investigating a site in Alaska, a rogue spaceship appears. Phantom Girl goes to investigate, but its a trap and the empty ship explodes. Tinya gets out in time but the shock knocks her out and she falls to the earth, but Cosmic Boy rescues her in time.

Pure luck or coincidence. Pondering who might rescue Tinya I thought of Cos maybe using his magnetic powers on the metal spaceship to rescue her. I didn't remember the scene at all.
Well done GL. This is the best sort of trivia question - one which almost certainly involves a frequently read story but is a detail that might not be remembered.

It is Superboy saving Violet!
In Adventure Comics #350 when Superboy and Supergirl are "forced" to leave the Legion because the cloud of Green Kryptonite encircling future Earth, the legionnaires use tiny Kryptonite capsules placed in their brains to make them forget the Legion. Violet delivers the capsules but is attacked by Superboy's super-antibodies. It is only thanks to Superboy remembering the death of his Kryptonian parents making him cry that allows Vi to escape through his tear duct in time.
Interestingly a similar method was used to extract the miniaturised characters in the film Fantastic Voyage. The film was released in August 1966. ADV #350 is cover dated November 1966 which means it would have been on stands around August 1966 and probably written a couple of months before that, so that suggest coincidence. However the Isaac Asimov novelisation of the film based on the screenplay was released in March 1966 which would be just about right to inspire this scene in ADV #350.
