Well, I've only been consistently ranking her #1 (except for one round) this game, so...

I'd have loved Tenzil to make it to the final. He was key to the tone of a portion of the TMK run.

I'm suprised that Brainy didn't make it. Another one I'd have happily thought about voting for in the final. Such a key member of the team going all the way back, sharing in their triumphs and tragedies (sometimes caused by him)

At the very start of this, I wondered which character would be meeting Kinetix in the final. And here we are. In my head I thought it was going to go down to 2 (not remembering/ looking at previous versions). It could be that Zoe does well with the reboot era vote, with others split between Kara and Lu.

Well, that was an interesting Finale. Not unexpected that Kinetix would retain her strong postboot following, seen throughout, while others would be split across the remaining votes. Closer than I thought it was going to be though.

thanks for counting, thothy if we had had a tie for winner, I'd have declared a run-off round with just the top two duking it out. Assuming that were Kara, I think we'd see Kara winning over Zoe if it were 1-1...

And here are some other special awards. After digging up some stats:

1) Most Popular: the Legionnaire who was on the most lists overall (basically: was picked by the most voters) -

XS was most voted 5 times! Rounds 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10.

(Tying as most voted 4 times? Gates, and Pre-5YL Lu)

2) Top-Ranked: the Legionnaire who was #1 in terms of points for the most rounds -

Kinetix, who dominated in 10 rounds (including the finale). Though 2 of those were Rounds 1-2, where we just made our picks without ranking them.

5YL Tenzil had top points in 3 rounds... and Theena had top points in 1.

3) Point Hoarder: the Legionnaire who collected the most points in the game -

(Pre-5YL) Triplicate Girl / Duo Damsel, who had 6668 points overall in this game. (Note: this does include points she earned in the first resurrection round, Round 7; but even if I take those points away, she's left with 5354 - still putting her ahead of Supergirl for the tie-breaker this finale).

4) The Mister Miracle award - who was our best escape artist?

Gear - the only Legionnaire to return to the game in both resurrection rounds!

5) Most Meaningful Second Chance - again, Luornu - she was eliminated in Round 6, returned in Round 7, and made it all the way to 2nd place!

Kid Quantum II didn't do too badly either, returning in Round 11 and making it to 7th place - beating 4 Legionnaires who had not been eliminated at all.

6) Doppelganger Award -

Luornu Durgo was the only Legionnaires with two versions in the top 15 - Reboot Triad also placed 15th.

While Querl Dox had no fewer than 3 versions making it to the top 30 - with the 5YL Querl placing 26th, Reboot Querl making it to 19th, and pre-5YL Querl finishing 4th.

7) Last Survivors -

From Round 9 to Round 15, Tenzil was the only representative of the 5YL era;

From Round 2 to Round 9, Wildfire was the only Dead Earth Legionnaire on the list;

and From Round 3 to Round 9, Theena was the sole Threebooter.

As for the future:

I'm thinking of making Mutliverse Legion Idol an annual thing - though I will probably shift it to start in April, when I'm much less busy at work.

As Kinetix is now a two-time winner, I'll consider having her retire as a contestant - if the set of players remains roughly the same, that might make sense? She can be the host instead I'll write the announcements using her "voice". (to be discussed next time we actually have this game!)


Or, if there is enough interest, we could instead have Multiverse Legion Idol be every x years (2? 3?) And in the meantime, we can do Idol games for other teams: we've had Justice League, Teen Titans and Justice Society Idol. I'd be open to even doing other DC Super-teams... and even. say Avengers or X-Men, though I don't nearly have as much emotional investment in those

And for a Legion theme: I'm thinking of a mid-year (start in June?) "Legion Tryout Idol". We'd use that to choose our 25-member Legion - and the fun part is, the pool of candidates would include -

a) pretty much every eligible super-powered good guy in any Legion reality ever - think the Wanderers, Heroes of Lallor, Workforce, Mekt's Threeboot gang, the Threeboot UP Young Heroes...

b) to balance it out, each character will only have "one" entry on the list. Only one entry for Luornu Durgo, one for Querl Dox...
