I think in this version Bruce was adopted by the Kents, and I was thinking his move to the future is the result of their deaths?

Yes! EDE has it (and obviously remembers reading this issue of World's Finest #172
After the death of the Waynes, the Kents are approached by Mrs Swan from the Smallville Orphanage who has been so impressed with the job they have done raising Clark that she asks if they would adopt another boy, namely Bruce. (The story is unclear about why the Smallville Orphanage is enquiring about adoptive parents for a boy from Gotham.) After hearing about the tragedy they agree. Being a Silver Age story of course Superboy is suspicious of Bruce to start with and catches him dressed as a bat thinking he has been committing crimes, but Bruce convinces him that he is fighting crimes and they end up often teaming up.
When Bruce reaches 21 he gains his inheritance and the whole family comes and lives with him in his mansion in Gotham. The two young men end up fighting Luthor together who vows vengeance. He arranges for an emergency to occupy Superman and kidnaps some hostages (who just coincidentally happen to be the Kents) to force Batman to run his deadly gauntlet, threatening to kill them if he doesn't complete the trial in 60 seconds. When Batman is about to succeed, Luthor kills them anyway and Bruce goes a bit wild, beating Luthor to a pulp. When Superman catches up with him Bruce says he can't cope with losing a second set of parents and decides to leave Gotham giving everything to Clark and wander the world until he can find some peace. It is then that Superman takes him to the future where the Adult Legion accept Batman as a member and he settles there, far away from the memories of the 20th Century, while Superman goes on with his life as a reporter and the champion of Gotham City.

Imaginary Batman was a gem of a read. Thanks for the summary, stile.

Sorry for delaying the game!
What Legion character once believed they had contracted the Muranis Plague?

Looks like you have stumped everyone EDE.
Hmm. I note you said Legion character instead of legionnaire. This wasn't that guy in New52 that the legionnaires led by Tyroc chased through time to the 21st Century?

Princess Projectra? She seemed to be constantly infected with one plague or another.

Princess Projectra? She seemed to be constantly infected with one plague or another. No, though Projectra was the main reason thr character believed they had contracted the Muranis Plague.

The "Compoosite Superman" form World's Finest 284. I think his name was Abraxas. Jeckie made the spots appear on him.

It is indeed Xan, the second Composite Superman, aka Amalgamax.
He was defeated when Projectra made it appear as though he head the symptoms of the disease that had killed his father, which could be cured by 30th century science, but only if he didn't recharge his powers, which was making the disease as invulnerable as he was!
As I occasionally have reason to mention, this was the first Legion comic I ever read!
That makes it idle's turn to ask a question.

Okay, a probably easy but perhaps not question. Who did the Legion and the Titans team up to fight in the Titans/Legion special?
And as for my memory of the Amalgamax story, I had been collecting the dollar issues of World's Finest as they came out (Great value there) and the Legion story was the one right after it went back to a regular size comic. So it stands out a little in my mind. It was also before I started actively collecting the Legion.

Ibby's referring to the Titans/Legion mini-series, but if we're referring to what I believe was published as the Titans/Legion SPECIAL, then I think the answer is the Fatal Five...many versions, from multiple universes.

Yes, I was talking about the special. And CMK has it right. I was hoping people might only guess the Fatal Five instead of the Fatal Five Hundred, but you mentioned many version. so you're up
