Pity about Triad. She had a wonderful story in Reboot. At least her other version is still around (thanks to resurrection).

my general rule is, we only vote for about half the new list. that is, if we're going for our top 10, can only vote for 5 max. if we're going for top 50, can only vote 25.

Kind of interesting to note that I have all three realities represented (and would have had a fourth if Theena had made it). Having been a Legion fan since about 1983 or 4, If I had to pick a legion overall if would be Pre5YL, but individually, I tend to like the more unique characters (i.e. the ones usually only found in a single iteration. Of course my two faves are from Pre5YL. One should be obvious if you look at my voting and number two is Jan.

so Brin and Jan, that's a cool couple of faves, Idle! I like how different they are too - Brin is a straight up acrobatic brawler/fighter type, and Jan's powers are very versatile and more ranged (though he can definitely fight short-range if needed)

and yeah, can see the uniqueness from your list!

do you tend to like telekinetics too? thinking of Kinetix and Tellus. or do they just happen to be telekinetics, and they're you're faves for other reasons?

Brin also has the plus of that top Lightle drawn issue.

happy to, thothy! we're getting close to the end, so a bit of a preview sounds like just the thing

and indeed, as we go on I find folks get more emotionally invested (probably a combination of: top faves going home, plus the act of actually voting for Legionnaires...) so... it's definitely getting tougher and tougher for me to vote, too!

I wonder if Lardy is gonna be a regular voter, too?

Sorry, my first attempt to answer seems to have not posted. I don't have any particular like or dislike of telekinetics. I like tellus because of his alien-ness and that Levitz did seem to play up his different way of thinking about the world. As for Kinetix, I like that fact that she was actively searching for things to help her gain powers rather than being born with them or getting them in an accident. I generally liked her personality and enjoyed her time as a catperson.

I like Tellus' starting out as a fish out of water, but quickly showing some backbone (heh) - like him being brave against the Empress' new Fatal Five, and him calling Saturn Girl out for her "un-Legion-like" evasiveness during Conspiracy

and Kinetix, I did like that she wanted to use power to help others (though there was probably a bit of selfishness too, re it made her feel good and useful). but she was also always looking out for her friends

I've sent PMs out - I'll extend the round by a day, considering we're "missing" 3 voters.

TBH, this is making me doubt whether that 10% bonus was too generous. although, I did try to scale the points so that the 10% bonus would not be insurmountable. maybe I should have made the Rank 2 points equal to the average bonus, rather than the Rank 1 points...

and also wondering if this is a chicken-and-egg thing. Some of us did seem to alter our votes in consideration of this 10% bonus, but not everyone did...

maybe next time we play this, the bonus should only be +5%?

anyway... too late for that, for now... though it was also fairly close, another vote for e.g., Brin would have eliminated XS...

with Reboot Brainy also leaving, there are no more Legionnaires with doppelgangers/versions on the list!

I promised a second chance, so here we go...

For the 20 Legionnaires we eliminated in the last 3 rounds, they do have one last chance to progress in this game...

Simply vote YES or NO for each of them!

If any Legionnaire gets 75% YES votes, they will make it back into the game! (that would be 6 of 8 voters, 7 of 9 voters, or 8 of 10).

I will post the list of contestants twice - the first is to list the Legionnaires, and a reminder re which Round they were eliminated --

House Rules

1) Each round will last about 72 hours
2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to minimize bias on my part.
3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll only tally votes at the end of each round (to make it easier on myself!). I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes that come in after that will be ignored.
4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing (only applicable once we do ranking; for rounds before, will do something else).
5) In case of a tie, I will look at cumulative points through past rounds to break the tie.
