I really did not expect this to be so difficult. This character is not obscure, is almost certainly known by every one here, and even has a Legion connection.

Is he native to Earth? Born there yes, but otherwise ... yes and no

It is indeed Jon Kent!

As I said, someone every Legion Worlder at least knows of, although unless they read the Superman books they may not be as clear on his changing background.
He is the son of Kal-El/Clark Kent Kryptonian and Lois Lane Homo Sapiens - so he is a hybrid and not truly of either species.
He was first born in the Batcave in the Gotham Dome during the Convergence event (well the dome had been removed but you know what I mean), then as a baby journeyed with his parents to end up on Earth in the New52 Universe. So he was and wasn't born in the USA.
Then, thanks to Jon's confrontation with Mxyzptlk, somehow the post-Crisis Superman backstory and the New52 backstory became combined and he was instead born on a farm in the USA.
He was a member of the Justice League when he reformed it while the originals were believed dead/lost, and of course his other team was the Legion.
Finally his superhero name is apparently Superman. No way that can be confusing. Guess that's why most people just call him Jon.

Crazy that the questions went down the path they did. I hope I was fair with my answers as I found it quite challenging at times. Challenging but fun.

ROFL! Great comment CMK. Lana Lang's story is left almost as confused thanks to the combining of the post-Crisis/New52/Rebirth Superman. She and Steel became a couple during the New52 era, then she was somehow empowered by the New52 Superman's death, then she met the post-Crisis Superman when they were both seeking the body of the dead New52 Superman, then after the merger she is now engaged to Steel and still has the occasional power burst. Well, to quote Rhodey in Iron Man 2 portrayed by a different actor "It's me. I'm here. Deal with it."

Oh and I again forgot that now Jon was born in the Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic with Batman guarding the entrance and Wonder Woman assisting the birth.
