You know how there's all these articles that critique the "scientific accuracy" of Star Wars?

I've always wanted to write a parady that critiques from the standpoint of historical accuracy.

"To begin with, for a film that purports to depict events of the distant past, there is absolutely no evidence that anything remotely resembling these events actually occurred, whether in a far away galaxy or not..."

I've always had doubts about what they've been telling us about the Clone Wars!

I'd tell you more if it wasn't for this sudden difficulty in breathing....darn you Vader...

That made me think of the newer Battlestar Galactica where it was going to end on humans on Earth finding the wreckage of the Galactica in central America or something like that...

It's what led to the Earth-Mars War that resulted in Aquaman disbanding the JLA. Something to remember when you drop a wrapper or your space agency doesn't tidy up after itself.

Or anything as the second GA mini didn't happen, the RT one kept getting delayed, nothing happened with Captain Comet, and it was a little while before the Hawks had theirs.

I hadn't really thought about it before, but in a way the Detroit League was returning the JLA to something like the model of the original Justice Society, where members who became "too busy with their own cases" (i.e. headlined their own solo title) were taken off the main team and became reservists.

good callout and throwback, EDE.

on the flip side, it did take away from the sense of the Justice League being made of THE greatest and best heroes ever.

I much prefer that, with the model that "well, Superman is busy right now, but don't worry, he'll probably show up NEXT case!"

The youth of the Titans!
The live-together-train together of The Avengers!
The angst of the X-Men!
The character moments of the satellite JLA!
More doomed than the Room Patrol! smile

I have a ton of notes and plots for Bits, when it comes to the JLD. I was toying with gutting them out and putting them up. Taking it apart, with what else was going on at the time, was interesting.
