Bumping this up for some newbies to tell us a little bout themselves. Nothing will be used for blackmail purposes, we swear.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

But my biggest turnoff is joyless whiners. But...but I thought we had something...special...>sob< I'm intolerant of intolerance. So I'm turned off other people but also feel bad about myself at the same time. Smokers breath. I'm not sure if it's a turn off, but if I'm retching in front of someone it's pretty much giving that signal. Small mindedness. Inability to see things from someone else's perspective. People who drone on. I could go on and on about the people I met over the years who just can't stop talking about some trivial thing that seems so important to them, but it's really just not something I could spend an evening having to fake interest over. The first person I met who was like this... The usual collection of hypocrites, fibbers, self absorbed, hater folk that everyone doesn't like. People who don't know how to type a short post. They're the absolute pits, and I wouldn't share an internet with them.

My turn-offs have not changed in 12 years. People who are stuck in their ways OK. I have added smart asses. When people call me a smart ass, I always say "Better a smart ass than a dumb ass!"

Joyless whiners are the worst.
Also can't stand know-it-alls and people who can't stop giving advice.
People who can't handle when you're not in the attention-giving mood.
But of course the worst of all are people who just aren't kind.

The overly-easily offended.
rickshaw1, you are talking about me, aren't you? and you mean that I am always wrong when you said "the wrong way", right? Sorry, I couldn't resist the above response. as for my turn-offs: arrogant people is number one. And speaking of wait staff. I have to say, I've never waited, but I have worked as a bank teller. And since then, I have all the patience in the world when I see a service worker when it is busy but he/she is working. Likewise, I do a slow boil if I am kept waiting for even a few seconds if the service person is just goofing off. If you are just talking about last night's date and I come to your open register, you need to stop talking and wait on me. If you are talking business, you need to at least say "I'll be right with you" Same turn offs as 15 years ago. 15 years? Really?

Close-minded, judgmental bigots and hypocrites and people who try too hard to be "cool" That includes egomaniacal, misogynistic, homophobic, bully-boy male rock singers who deliberately contrive to sound like Mickey Mouse with constipation, only because they think they'll be perceived as "hip" (a word which, by now, has become a synonym for "cool.")
Still "Fickles" to my friends.
