--is originally from one of the five universes that merged at the end of COIE, though it might be argued on a technicality that he isn't
--is not from the Earth-1 universe
--is not villainous
--did not originally appear in Fawcett Comics
--has not yet been mentioned in my thread on final Golden Age appearances

My character is not regularly employed in law enforcement.

Was your character precocious for a child?

Was your character part of a group of children who appeared in published adventures?

That's a tough one. I'm not sure that in general I would describe this character as precocious, but he does have certain talent that stands out for someone his age.


Not in the sense that he's a member of the Newsboy Legion or the Boy Commandos or something. There are other young people who regularly appear with him, however.

Yeah, that's the sense in which I meant the question.

My character is indeed Scribbly the Boy Cartoonist!

I hesitated on the "five universes" question because his earliest stories were actually originally published by Dell Comics before Sheldon Mayer brought him over when he moved to All-American, which makes his earliest stories a bit iffy continuity-wise.

He will be making some appearances very soon in the "Final Appearances" thread, both in the Red Tornado entry and his own, as soon as I can figure out when exactly his final GA appearance was (his late 40s/early 50s revival as part of DC's attempts to enter the "teen humor" market complicates things).
