General Immortus?

General Immortus is who I was thinking of!

He was extremely long-lived, but my understanding is that that was purely due to a potion he took, and as soon as he ran out, he started aging again (and the restoration of his longevity was the focus of most of his villainy), so I didn't consider that to be a power beyond that of a normal human being.

Cool. I've been reading some of the early Doom Patrol recently so he came to mind pretty quick.

Having said that I feel a bit like I snuck in front of EDE who did the heavy work, so if you want to take it EDE I think you earned it.

Oh, you should feel free to take it, if you want. I've had a bunch recently, plus my first reaction on getting a "yes" to the Doom Patrol question was, "I really wish I knew my Doom Patrol villains better! Well, someone else will get it!"

My character is originally from the Earth-1 universe but not from Earth-1.
Yes - there may be internal differences.

I usually just assume that "Earth-1" is short for "the Earth-1 universe" in such questions.

Yes that was how I first read the question but thought I had better clarify.

My character does generally appear in stories set contemporaneous to when they are published (although flashbacks to my character's past are also common).
