Those four years correspond pretty closely to my major "obsessed with super-heroes/comics" years as a child.

Funnily enough, my original phase of following a particular comic title was when Star Wars came out. I started reading the Marvel comic that did the OG Movie from issues 1-6, then did its own thing until ESB came out and they adapted that.
It was written/adapted by Roy Thomas.

I've heard some kids these days using OG as slang. "We're the OG crew, we go way way back!"

The very first comic I followed religiously was Don Miki, a 96 page weekly Disney digest. Each issue was bookended by two really long, and beautifully drawn, stories which were originally produced in Italy.
Still "Fickles" to my friends.

Still waiting for my readers digest fortune from their draw.

I've not seen a readers digest in years, and had to check to see if they were still going.

It was something that was popular with an earlier generation here

I don't recall it as being uninteresting. Yet, I can't recall a single thing I read in it. The beige of reading material.
Oh, and read that Wildcat was also to be Bobcat prior to being the Lynx.

I was actually thinking that there's no reason there couldn't be multiple heroes inspired by Ted Grant. So Wildcat II, Lynx, LA Garro, Bobcat... they could all exist.

If Superman can have a whole bunch inspired by him, why not Wildcat!

That's why Lynx lives on Canada, LA Garro on Mexico, Wildcat II on California, and Bobcat on the East Coast!

Maybe Lucy van Pelt can hold Pantha's head... and if she tries to pull Pantha away before Charlie Brown can kick, well,Pantha does not like cheaters...

It occurs to me that rather than being from Canada, Lynx could be from Quebec, which was an ndependent country on Earth-2!
