Then there was that JSAer who tripped and spilled wine on the Spectre.

He's hanging out in Limbo now, forced to watch the adventures of all the non-erased JSAers

Maybe I should be improving the quality of my comments, if they're getting compared to DC plots.

All I'm saying is that once she's restored to the timeline, Jay Garrick's daughter will *never* again forget how many sugars the Spectre takes in his coffee!

Perhaps the Spectre is responsible for all these reboots. Someone gives him the wrong seat at a JSA meeting? Suggests he put on some clothes? Asks him a theology question? Boom! End of that universe.

That one time Wildcat's twin said he should wear a darker shade of green... that was what spurred the real first Crisis!

I'm pretty sure someone's spiking whatever it is that he drinks to stay "hydrated". My guess is that they spike a humidifier in their meeting room and they are all high out of their goddamn minds...

And in reality they’re just a bunch of normal people in costumes who dream up their adventures?

No surprise they made such a big thing about a new Wildcat in that series. Just the Spectre getting back at the original one.

Spectre also made sure the Yolanda Wildcat would get wiped out. Luckily, Ted Grant gave him a nice footrub, so Ted's son Tommy was spared

Being a Latina, I have very mixed feelings about Yolanda. On one hand, her flirtation with Albert was cute and it was nice she wasn't saintly or virginal. On the other hand, her cheesy accent made me sick and she was still too much of a stereotype.

Apparently, she originally was going to be Canadian.

I recall an early version from the book's promo - La Garro, on a cat cycle.

I remember seeing that... guess they thought it was too much, and decided to just name her Wildcat

Yeah, apparently, she had a super-long and complicated development history.

Very early on in the development process she was Canadian and named "The Lynx".

Then by the time of the II promo in A-SS, she was called "La Garro".

Then when she *finally* showed up, it was as the second Wildcat, replacing the injured-in-Crisis Ted Grant.

I know there's a whole thread about how awful Crisis was (I started that thread) but I think enough time has passed since then for me to reiterate my opinion.

Roy Thomas may not be a perfect writer or a perfect person, but nobody deserves to have their dream project gutted like his was by Crisis and DC Editorial in general from 1985 on.

I can imagine it could be quite upsetting.

It's worse than upsetting, it's devastating! Especially considering that it had already been in progress for 4 years, and going smoothly until then.
