whohooo, more!!
thanks for starting off with a recap. Yikes! so we got an army of Wildfires (really Omegas, right?), a bunch of Red Lanterns, nice bit here showing Marella Tao succumbing to anger before being, well, whatever it is the "Wildfires" are doing. also a nice bit showing all the newsroom folks getting angry too!
ooh, nice bit here with the transuits.
yikes! poor Gim is getting possessed!
whew! I'm eager to see what you've got in store for the rest!

ooh, nice bit here with the transuits. Thanks! I would never expect anyone to remember at this point considering how long it's taking to get this out, but if you go back to page 8, Vi is introduced shrinking into the head of that monster, foreshadowing her confrontation with Yera. (she likes going for the head...) It also introduced the transuits, which really pays off here, as well as the transuits having bioluminescence, which we see with Ayla when she walks into Yera's place and we see the white outline of her transuit, which - if you go back, is visible on any Legionnaire we see getting hit by the Omega/Wildfires. (Blok, Timberwolf, Kid Q)

Beautifully done as always, Drake.
Looking forward to the conclusion, but I'll also be sad to see it end.
Still "Fickles" to my friends.

Drake, Mon-El's speech was beautiful - and makes sense that the Legionnaire who survived 1000 years in the Phantom Zone would retain best his sense of self! also loving that Dawnstar retained enough of hers to find the way out! love that rousing Long Live the Legion! that bit with them smashing through the Wildfire faceplate... wow! and that beautiful last page with the scroll call, double wow! love Chuck's stache, it just fits him! (also the type to make dad jokes lol) I would totally read a Legion book with this lineup I do see that you didn't include retired Legionnaires Cosmic Boy, Lyle Norg or Chemical King; but you have Jeckie and Val along for the ride love the color scheme for Tyroc's uni - inspired by the Kwanzaa colors perhaps? love how Laurel's cape drapes around her, Zoe's pose is so her, and you've made a wonderful update to Val's costume! say, why is Mon still kinda fade-y in the last panel? I bet you have a surprise for us! and also curious re where Dev-Em and Rond Vidar are!

say, why is Mon still kinda fade-y in the last panel? I bet you have a surprise for us! He's "fade-y" because he's not really there. He's still in the Time Icosahedron with Saturn Girl - that's his astral projection. Thanks everyone for the nice words as always! Now I have to actually draw the full team in action ... painted myself into a corner there.

Drake, hi there, apologies for not commenting for so long but I keep missing this and as it slips down the page I forget to check. But the good news about this is there's lots of goodies for me to read now so while it means you've missed out on some very valid praise, it's a win for me as I have heaps of quality work to enjoy So, I'm back where Imra had just sent Mon El into Omega's psychic realm, and that opening picture of Mon El struggling really captures how weird and claustrophobic and overwhelming it is, yet without making it dark or too uncomfortable to read. And back to Brainy being a sadist - he really would be the worst villain. Poor Gim! And you end this batch on a stunning set of cliff hangers - Mon is lost, Xao and Jenni struggling, Omega is risen and what is Vi doing stalking Yera? Am glad that I don't have to wait to see what's next The Homeland - what a superb idea! Yera appears to have such a nice life there, as Vi says - that last picture with Vi looking all tense is really ominous! Is she possessed by the Red Lanterns rage? Yera's surprise is well done, and love the wedding picture - very 5 Years Later fashion on s=display - though was that Reaffirmation of Vows ceremony as didn't Gim and Yera elope? Whoah, Vi's losing it! Her anger is understandable, though perhaps several years too late to be dealt with. Loving the animals Yera is choosing to turn into btw. And maybe Durlan's do have a different take on identity - that's a great thought actually. Jeez, Vi is hardcore! I never really liked this take on her to be honest - women in comics do have some awful tropes that their storylines follow and the 'woman hurt so turns crazy' is one that can be overused. As there's Red Lantern rage in this story and you are covering their relationship so bloody well I'm happy with it this time That moment Vi shares were Brin referred to the Khund mission was so well done, it was really powerful in it's understated emotion, no big drama, no violence or anything, just staring at her cup... wow! This is the sort of moments that I wish comics covered. And Vi is right, sadly and a bit madly, but she is right, her everything was taken away. Thankfully Ayla, the mother-giver-carer of the team has arrived. I was actually thinking you might kill or maim Yera there. Getting Yera to speak for Vi is really messed up. Brilliant, but messed up Yera's pain was shown beautifully as well, as much as Vi was a victim in that whole affair, Yera was used as well. That picture with Ayla's hand on Vi's is so, so brilliant, from the expressins to the body language - wow, no words needed there Drakem you captured that moment perfectly. Ah, back to normal - great! And does this mean it's Vi, Ayla and perhaps Yera to the rescue? The Marella page and looking at the unconscious Mon El are great -and scary -recaps. And we're back with Mon El in Omega-land, and it does not look like an aspirational holiday destination! You've captured his struggle, and determination to find Tasmia, really well. What a great idea that the transuit was blocking their energies from being consumed by the maelstrom around them! Brainy is still barking, and again, poor Gim! Mon El rallying the ghostly forms was a powerful scene, the raised fists with flight rings was particularly good. Long Live the Legion! ...Indeed! Punching through the visor of the Wildire costume is such a great image. But the show stopper is the group picture - what a beaut! Group shots are always a treat, especially in a huge team like this. Something I noticed in your roll call was that each Legionnaire has an individual face! No two looked the same, and that's pretty rare in large groups so well done, really well done, for taking the time and planning to do that. Drake, I've spent over an hour reading and re-reading this and it is an absolute treat! Thank you for sharing it and I'm hanging on for more, more, more!
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

... love the wedding picture - very 5 Years Later fashion on s=display - though was that Reaffirmation of Vows ceremony as didn't Gim and Yera elope? Yep - I decided it was the party they threw after the fact. I was originally looking for reference of their wedding, and was reminded that they had eloped. (I think the photo next to the wedding is the actual panel where Gim says they're married... maybe) Thank you so much for the lengthy reaction! There's definitely more coming. I have the ending written out and bits of the fighting, but fight scenes are actually the least interesting to me, unless I can make them character moments. Some are planned out, the rest is still fuzzy. But don't forget... and one shall surely die!

Hey Drake, i think that other picture is from the short back up story where Gim introduces Yera to is folks. And, totaly agree with you about fight scenes, I hate writing them in my fic but realise that they are kinda important as we're using the medium of superheros to tell stories. The inter-personal moments are always the ones that I return to.
Anyway, my guess - it's got to be Brainy that dies, though waiting with baired breath for see what you have planned next.

Drake, love the story and art. I've been waiting a bit to catch up and noticed the links are broken for 5 images on page 13 of the thread. Didn't hurt my ability to follow the story at all but I thought you might want to know,

I gotta go back and reread this all at some stage but some quick commentary on the last batch of pages -
- love that bit with Dawny pointing the way out...and somehow even as weird ectoplasmy stuff in a transuit she still pulls off looking graceful! - the first coming through Wildfire's visor is a great scene - and best of all, that group shot! SO good! I keep going back and finding fun new things to like about it!
Awesome work, Drake! Looking forward to see how this all works out!
