It was Gim! In Bouncing Boy's exciting secret origin (which would probably be a 12 part series these days) Cos points out some Legionnaires who are doing solo missions on other worlds, and Colossal Boy was fighting a cool looking red giant who was terrorising what seems to be the Moscow of outer space on the planet Grykk. This is what y'all get when I just pick random pages out of my omnibus for trivia questions LOL that's what I do a lot of the time. Nice guess, Ibby!!

The preboot Legion may have preferred ice cream more, taking Superboy and Supergirl to the 9 planets ice cream parlour. Ice cream tasting may be the secret way of figuring out which universe a character is from.

I'm slightly surprised there wasn't ever some sort of initiation ritual involving ice cream
in the Reboot, we can lay the blame on Cosmic Boy: he was arguing with Imra that ice cream was all fat and sugar!

And wasn't Imra technically talking to herself at that point? Okay new question. We all know the new Bendis/Sook design of Phantom Girl has a halo hoop that she wears that puts things through the phantom zone. When was the other time she wore a halo and what was it for?

She was pretending to be an angel and Jo a devil, standing on either side of Shady when trying to convince her to ask Lar out?

Was the halo actually a hula hoop she was entertaining Lar's kids with?

Was it one of those fan-designed costumes that only ever appeared in the letter columns ?

No on both, although I will say that while the source of this question lies in the Bendis Legion, the answer is definitely not.

Was it in that Christmas special story where they tried to find the star that led the wise men to Jesus ?

rats. I thought I was onto something with the hula hoop. What about the halo symbolising a ring that Tinya and Jo stood under. The "definitely not" in the hint indicates this is quite a while back, so possibly that time they faked getting married to allow Murrans into the Legion?

Yes, that's basically it, although I think it was only Tinya who was standing under the Halo.
This came from Adventure 337, when Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl & Ultra Boy and Phantom Girl married under false pretenses to trick the Murrans into sending their members into the Legion for an infiltration plot.
Great Guess!

Yay! Just as well. My next guess was Imra taking a ring of Saturn and thumping Tinya out of the Legion on one of the Adventure plots where everyone gets expelled.

What prevents Vril Dox from imprinting his own plans onto first the citizens of Colu and later Lydea Mallor?

Darn. I read this but can't remember. I presume we are talking about Vril Dox II of L.E.G.I.O.N.? Did Lyrissa do something?

It was neither Lyrissa, who was dead at the time of the second one, not was it Emerald Eye related.
