did she get a Giffen redesign in late v3?
and are we counting her Eye-influenced daring purple suit different from her Emerald Empress suit? cause she did wear something diff. as the Empress
oh, and Veye!

She did get a Giffen shoulder pad uniform! (i forgot to mention that when raz pointed that out earlier!)
Any uniform she wore 'on duty' counts here. I'm kind of on the fence here about Veye, to be honest. But Legion uniforms would definitely count, but not anything Kinetix made for her, for example.

Hmmmm this might be pushing the definition of any uniform she wore 'on duty' but there was that one Shooter(?) story back in the day where she shrunk small enough to be able to piggyback on a photon for interplanetary travel?
She wore a full bodysuit for that, but I don't know if it would count anymore than a transuit would, and I wouldn't consider a transuit a uniform in and of itself...

Yeah that doesn't count as it's kind of a one off, but I know the scene you're talking about.I will say, to Ibbys point, that the reboot variants do count, as they reflect personality aspects at that time.

I guess it's also safe to say as a clue, most of the variants happen during the reboot.

ooh since you said variant.....how about that reboot issue where the Legion thought they were in WWII days? I think Vi was calling herself Colossal Girl and her schtick was just being tall?

She had that In between costume round legionnaires 35-39 before going full emerald. The more revealing one. I guessed that a few posts ago but I guess I wasn’t clear enough
The one where Chuck walks in and Lu is also stunned at how revealing it is

Plus she added different headbands - do they count? legionnaires 64 with a big purple sweatband, LSH 109 had a flower on it that doubled as a tele-diary

I just remembered! Vi's costume design changed slightly when she got Gim's powers - I think she just had the generic SW6 middle stripe down her torso pre-growing powers and not this funky hourglass shape? On another note, it just occurred to me that's probably meant to be a down arrow meeting an up arrow which makes more sense than "funky hourglass" given her powers... that only took me 25 years to figure out...

Are you counting the formal wear Vi wore which was also fortunately super stretchy when she acted as LeViathan in the last few issues of The Legion?

Yes! That is basically the "Last" reboot uniform - when she becomes LeVIathan (man, I hate that codename for her). Once she gains Gim's growth powers, she adds the "up" symbol from his uniform to the "down" V on her prior uniform. Are you counting the formal wear Vi wore which was also fortunately super stretchy when she acted as LeViathan in the last few issues of The Legion? I considered counting that, but they were there ceremonially, so no. And while she and Tinya were quite fetching in their dresses, they aren't Legion uniforms. Only one more to go! OG Adventure Little Green Dress Cockrum Green Bodysuit Post Sens-tank Adventure throwback, Green with black mantle Giffen Shoulder Pads 5YL Violet Black Shirt & Khakis Virus SW6 Reboot purple bodysuit with black "v" mantle Reboot "confident" variant with revealed shoulders. Emerald Vi/Emerald Legion LeVIathan Reboot variant Kitson Atom Girl Manapul Atom Girl Retroboot Vi Sook Vi

And GL’s comment means we have to look earlier too - if that is the last Reboot uniform, then the final answer must come before
Was it… the tryout outfit Vi wore? Does that count? In LSH 66?

Nope, not that one. Just like the LeVIathan variant, the last one is exposed out in the open.

Is the last Vi from the reboot as well? Because "exposed" kinda makes me think of the Adam Hughes Legionnaires issue where the SW6 Legion visited the Atlantis Dome and all had their own custom bathing suits (then again they were explicitly on vacation and just happened to get involved in shenanigans while they were there, so I don't know if you'd count them as costumes really...)

I think "exposed" is a clue as to idk, maybe the costume has uncovered shoulders.... but to my memory Vi only changed her costume that one time? then she goes Emerald and I do not remember her changing again then...
I do remember Legionnaires 40 showed Vi in 4 stages on the cover, so is the last costume from there? the 2nd and 3rd images seem identical though...

I think you might have it IB!
I can't get the image to post for some reason but I just looked up that cover and there is a subtle difference - the 2nd costume has bare shoulders but long sleeves, while the 3rd costume is sleeveless!

That's it raz! The cover in question is here: In which we see Vi's OG Reboot/SW6 costume, her "confident" costume with exposed shoulders, her sleeveless "Leader" costume (she adopts this look after she's 'elected' leader), then Emerald Vi. Finally she adopts the "LeVIathan" look after she returns to the team with growth powers. So the final list is: OG Adventure Little Green Dress Cockrum Green Bodysuit Post Sens-tank Adventure throwback, Green with black mantle Giffen Shoulder Pads 5YL Violet Black Shirt & Khakis Virus SW6 Reboot purple bodysuit with black "v" mantle Reboot "confident" variant with revealed shoulders. Reboot "Leader" variant with bare arms and gloves Emerald Vi/Emerald Legion LeVIathan Reboot variant Kitson Atom Girl Manapul Atom Girl Retroboot Vi Sook Vi That's a lot of costumes, not even counting the elseworlds & off duty stuff! And the reason there is that Legionnaires 23 would give me a headache! Over to you raz!

I reckon IB should get credit for that one, I only looked up the cover after he mentioned it to see if I could find a difference myself. Feel free to jump in if you have a trivia question IB, otherwise I will have a think on it and report back in the next day or two!

Yeah I wasn't sure where to go with that, as technically, Ibby had the right lead, but didn't call out the correct answer, which raz did. Y'all can fight amongst yourselves on that... or - have a TRIVIA OFF! You two have to stump the other to see who goes on! (jk - do what you want)
