Sorry about blathering on. Sometimes the science nerd in me gets triggered. This was no worse than Mon-El carrying a white dwarf star into Legion HQ during the Levitz conspiracy tale.
The Phantom Girl concept bothered me a bit more as it suggests she is always visible on both worlds. What about her private times like sex or even pooping?Fun crazy concept but a bit too crazy. Hey man, you're talking to the guy who earlier nitpicked about galactic rotation and possible age of civilizations, so you don't have to worry. And I had the exact same thoughts about Phantom Girl. Wait. That sounds really horrible. You all know what I mean. I hope. Anyway, yeah! Lots of ideas that sounded great but weren't gamed out to their logical conclusions. *nervously whistling away....*

Suddenly I have some questions about what Bgtzl used the Phantom Zone for in the first place that I don't really want to know the answers to.....

I was reading the Shooter blog that describes where the title would go viz a viz the Projectra situation. Nowhere (at least that I found) does he show how he's going to resolve that situation. Which tells me that he just threw it out there. And boo on him for that.

Coming from male writers, this constantly needing to bring the strong woman down thing is creepy, IMO. I want to fanwank it and say that, as a telepath, she's constantly low-level receiving output from people around her, even if she blocks most of it consciously, and that being around a horndog like Jo wears her down and gets her thinking about sex all the time (since it's always on his mind, he's just putting out the sexy thoughts and she's stuck picking them up), but that doesn't fly, since if she got horny around horndogs, she'd have ended up in bed with Sun Boy ages ago. And that gets problematic in the Threeboot as most of the guys are shown as being horndogs in one way or another!

Sun Boy and Ultra Boy get to be horn dogs, and that's totally bro-tastic. But Imra has a naughty moment, and she's a bad dirty girl. I thought the She-Hulk show was subverting that neatly, but the end got a little yikes with 'bros' accusing her of being a slut because she serial dated a few times.

I didn't mind that in the She-Hulk show because at least it showed that the characters that thought that way were the jerks.

To be fair, Ultra Boy WAS shown to be a pig and an asshole the entire run of this book, so I'm not sure he gets a pass, but in general, yeah, I agree with the double standard.
The Imra situation is problematic as it goes against her character. But we are shown that Ayla likes to change partners with regularity and that seems to be celebrated here, so yay progress I guess?
