I also prefer replying on my laptop... I keep making typos while texting! (also while on my laptop, but at least it is then more obvious and easier to correct!)

 My phone has a "suggestions" setting where it wants to guess what word you're planning to type, and--- arggh no! Stop turning this option on, Phone! You have *never* guessed correctly. Not even once in the 10 months since you first forced your way into my life.

I've never lit a carrot on fire. But they do make a lovely salad: shredded and tossed with a light lemon-dijon dressing.

There's a vegan pumpkin pie I'm hoping to try my hand at this year. Well, it's really a tart. So I guess I'll need to buy a tart pan. Trouble is: to get a tart pan, I'll have to walk past a ton of other fantastic cooking things which I don't need and can't afford. Like the Halloween cookie press thingies where you can impress the images of kitties, pumpkins, or spiders onto the dough surface. Like a perfect idiot, I subscribed to the local kitchenware store's newsletter. Now all these detailed promos are in my email box every week, taunting me. I just got RID of a bunch of fancy kitchen things early in the year: facing the fact that they'd all been used once, if at all, and it was time for them to go.
