Did he use a flying ring and a Superboy disguise to fake the effects of Kryptonite? Oh noes, the Kryptonite has turned Superboy into a giant!

Thoth gets the prize!.
Adventure Comics #315 cover features a giant-size Superboy holding up a failing suspension bridge while a normal sized Clark Kent flies overhead in a helicopter wondering what is going on. The main story this issue is "The Legionnaire's Super-Contest" (I never noticed before that the apostrophe is in the wrong place in this title! Being plural it should be after the s) when they hold a contest for a Sub to join them which Stone Boy wins but declines. The backup story has Superboy being turned into a giant by Red Kryptonite with typical amusing Silver Age adventures, but when it wears off and Lana sees him as Clark she is sure that if she now sees a normal sized Superboy it will "prove" that Clark and Superboy are the same person (great reasoning Lana).
Just then they hear news of the potential bridge disaster and hire a helicopter to get photos for their school newspaper (as I'm sure was common for all high school students) but to Lana's (and Clark's) surprise a giant Superboy is already there holding the bridge together. Clark quickly deduces that it is Colossal Boy helping out (because that is the only explanation) and uses his own heat vision to make it look like Gim-Superboy is fixing the bridge. There is a final two panel meeting of the two heroes where Gim mentions seeing the problem in their Legion time monitor (marvellously useful device that) and how he hopped in a time bubble to help out.
Your turn Thoth.

I'm not sure I recalled all the details of that one, but I shall take cudos where I can find 'em. New Q when I get to my funny books.

Uh Oh! Andromeda is suffering from Lead Poisoning. But what happened to cause it?

Yups. They blasted it, when she went after 3 of them. That followed an earlier incident where she let them go, only for them to injure triad. Chastened with the lesson involving power and responsibility, she got Brainy to make her a Spider Girl outfit...or something...
Over to you GL!

What was the purpose of the Sun Eater that the Limbo-stranded Legionnaires destroyed?

What was the main reason that Chuck Taine's work rebuilding Legion HQ never really finished?

Well, I'm pretty sure that Brainy did some damage from his lab.
I remember Chuck coming to tears as Leviathan and Star Boy were fighting after he'd finished repairing it
It got pulverized during the Daxamite battle.

GL, I think you're going to have to pick one guess only, instead of three

GL, I think you're going to have to pick one guess only, instead of three Yeah, and one of those doesn't even work! Chuck didn't join until after the Daxamite war... So fast forwarding.... How about Tryouts?

to be clear, I didn't comment on GL's earlier post because there were like 3 reasons given, but we should only be guessing one at a time

Sures, but that would be pinching. So I just have to come up with stuff like... Alchemist kept transmuting bits of the HQ?

yeah, I figured you would not take any of GL's guesses Growing up with comics made me too nice. Thankfully, there's the nasty genie thread Robotica seized control of the HQ, growing it limbs, with which it extracted itself from Metropolis, going on a galactic tour in a cabaret act?
