Lardy, loving the latest Covenant chapters! You know, Krakatoa is one of those topics I absolutely love and have been fascinated by for years (like the Sphinx, and other things my wife makes fun of me for). So I really like it's inclusion!

I also love how you explained Helena's involvement with FFoD and how it works with the continuity. Lolita will definitely be recruiting her for the upcoming mission.

Like I said, I wanted to come up with something that would be a visual cue for Adelie that it was her Earth, and Krakatoa just jumped out at me as something subtle but definitely different, rather than saying "x" continent was shaped a little differently or whatever. I figure Adelie would definitely be curious to discover the differences between the Earths and would know that kind of info.

It's honestly the real reason why Helena was left out of the mission! I fully intended for her to have journeyed into the Dark Oval with the others, but then she popped up as an alt-ID during FFoD! That's when the whole idea of leaving someone behind popped into my head to explain why Helena wasn't with them. I definitely wanted to use her and give her some development, so I got creative. Glad you like it!

One of the distinct features of this story is how much time passes while they're on the mission. I used the two new chapters to illustrate this. I used the E4 revelation chapter to tie into what happened in "Smoke & Mirrors" with the large invasion force prepared to take Esilon Sector. Then, I tied in Helena's involvement with FFoD. And the story begins by showing this happened in the aftermath of Omnia and has specific mentions of something Helena did during either "Psionic Spear" or "Horn of Undoing" (memory's a bit fuzzy, now )

So there are some nice Easter Eggs for those in the know on LMB continuity (some "continuity porn" to borrow a phrase that annoys Cobalt ) , but they're not essential to the enjoyment of it, IMO. I wouldn't mind, though, if those get readers unfamiliar with the stories referred to interested in checking out the source materials! Good stuff, all!

SharkLad is about as human as he's gonna get... he's a little less ferocious looking since RatDad experimented on him during "The Evil-ing" but he can't morph.

The beev has always been beaver size in my mind ... "small, furry, and with a nice tail" as she said way back in her intro... but it would be cool if she could morph like T-Wolf too... maybe she's been keeping that a secret...

As for the Twovision, there's one possible continuity error. You see, Orando is a part of Epsilon Sector...which was annexed into Dark Oval space at the conclusion of "Smoke and Mirrors".

I'm sure there are some very simple ways to get around this, maybe just a line or two, but I thought I'd mention it.

Seems like it's almost over with the resolution regarding Dev's kids. Right or wrong? In any case it's been a very good character piece!

Just gotta change the name of the main planet...probably not tonight, as my brain is fried after writing the last major portion for Dev.

Sharky and T-Wolf are gonna have some fun here on the way home though...so while the main plit id finished, the story will sontinue for a little bit.

I hope you don't mind that one caveat, Dev. The continuity, she is dense, and I'm a bit of a slave to her!

That's good, man. I guess it wasn't all that important that it was Orando (and its moon). Definitely didn't want to derail anything.

Reading the twovision...noticed this:

Guess that means if they do go on a killing spree, I won't be the first one down.

Even though Adelie is not from Earth, it is reasonable to assume that she had studied Earth history and when she moved to Earth-1's universe, she learned about some of the differences.

Yeah, I figured she spent a lot of time there while with the SMB. She always struck me as inquisitive and the type who would want to know more and more about everything when she would live in a new place. I guess, for some reason, I see there might be a little librarian in each of the members of the Rockhopper family!

I took care of the references...gonna reread tomorrow to make sure I got them all. Also fixed the fact that I had two names for the King...ah well.

Yes, I can't think of any pure characters on Legionworld. My characters tend to have Cable's "five-fingered fist" approach to war.

It's awesome. The mother mind thing was unexpected! I'm glad with how the kids ended up because I thought there was going to be a different outcome. Love Kar, he's pretty kick ass.

I like Kar a lot, as well! He was being built up in such a way before he appeared that I expected him to be a creep when we finally met him. He's been a pleasant surprise, and I hope we see more of him!

At first I thought of him as this hard nose general in a green suit with stick of far up his ass that you could play limbo whenever he bended over. But he was kind of warm and approachable.

He'll be around...expecially in some flashback stuff that I will do. Plus he'll be around for other things as well.

As far as his build up goes, all of it is perspective from the boys part. We'll learn why the two of them have the image they do of their father. He's done the best he can raising two very different boys on his own. He tried to raise eeach of them to be the best that they could be.

Just finished Lardy's Covenant.

Really interesting, I kind of have this urge to smack Bat-Fem.

I really liked Rockhopper Lass and Mallor, really cute.

Interested in how the Loser Lad angle will pan out.

Interesting reaction to Bat-Fem. I'm definitely writing her with Morrison's Batman (especially during Grant's JLA tenure) in mind. She's definitely controlling and on the cold side. Give her a break, though. She\'s been through a lot !

If Timberwolf wasn't with Hot Chick, they (t-Wolf and B=Fem) might make an interesting team...if they survive that is.

I like and feel sorry for Louis. Poor guy, though his snarky remarks to Clark were so slick.
