As you said, it was a divisive era. Waid also straddles some highs and lows as editor and writer. Grell, who continued to make the book a visual stand out after its first hiatus is less of a surprise. As is Lightle, whose work perfectly encapsulates the concept of super powered teens in an optimistic future. "...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."
