Was this the story at the very end of the Adventure run, when some Legionnaires were poisoned during Brainiac 5's birthday? I think he disguised himself as a normal employee... and he poisoned the cups instead of the drinks - Superboy checked the drinks but forgot to check the cups

It was one of the first Adventure era stories I read, so it stick in my mind When the Progenitor killed Monstress, which Legionnaire thought that Saturn Girl was lying?

you got it! Kid Quantum was in disbelief, and Brainiac 5 told her it was dreadful to accuse Imra of lying, when they could all feel Imra's grief too

I suppose it makes sense to be her. I have the vague memory/feeling that Jazmin and Candi joined about the same time and shared some comradery as a result.
The Legion has called on the Legion of Super-Pets to guard their HQ while they go on a mission, and the Super-Pets spend their time testing Proty II to see if it is super enough to join them. However the Legion, while doing a lot of preparation, never actually leave on the mission.
What was this mission?

yeah, two things were at play with Jazmin here - 1) Imra had used her fake Tinya illusion to speak extensively with Jazmin, about her Blight trauma and if she had any insights that could help them help Tasmia cope. Jazmin was hurt later on - why didn't Imra just talk to Jaz as herself, without using the fake Tinya? 2) Candi and Jazmin were in the Uncanny Amazers together, and both helped the Legion fight Mordru. they joined close together, but not immediately - Monstress in Legionnaires 52, Jazmin in Legionnaires 60 re Legion mission, I have no clue

Hint: It involved a commonly mentioned villain from this time period.

Breaking through the Iron Curtain of Time to reach the Time Trapper was indeed their mission. They didn't want to leave their clubhouse unguarded during their trip and preparations so recruited the Legion of Super-Pets to guard it. Throughout the main story of the Pets testing Proty (II), we see glimpses of the legionnaires' preparations as the Pets "missions" cross over with the Legionnaires, but in the end we never see them go on the mission. There are hints that they failed to break through the Iron Curtain but it is never clearly stated, instead diverting into the main Legion acknowledging Proty joining the Pets.
Ibby's turn.

That Iron Curtain of Time was such a running thing for a while!
let's see...
which 2 future Legionnaires were already spoiled on the pullout poster in Legionnaires 50?

you got it!!
Ferro joined just before (LSH 93, which was published before Legionnaires 49)
Kid Quantum II and Karate Kid, who would join before Thunder, did not appear.
Neither did the female Inferno, which was a clue that she was not considered a full Legionnaire

Why did McCauley send his henchman, Charon, to murder RJ Brande?

I think that's close enough. He complained about that early on, and later confessed to the Leigon he simply did it for the money.

ok, my turn - sorry it took so long to reply, it's been kind of crazy busy on my side this last few weeks.
Chemical King, just prior to his Legion career, and Invisible Kid stopped a heist. Who was behind that heist?

I'll allow it! Bonus points if you can name the specific member who makes an appearance.

Not taking away from Thoth (I will leave him to answer since he is mostly there) but my memory says this might be from a flashback issue in the Baxter run. Is that right?
