I wondered whether to specify Proty I or II.
Well it certainly isn't the ability to change size which we have had recently and excludes Mon-El and Cosmic Boy anyway.

Are these Legionnaires that have impersonated Jimmy Olsen?
I seem to remember a story where Bouncing Boy = Fat Boy, Cosmic Boy = Porcupine Jimmy (using his magnetism to shoot quills), Colossal Boy = Turtle Boy, Chameleon Boy = Werewolf Jimmy... Proty did someone who did not talk...

You've got the right story in mind, so I'll give it to you.
These were the Legionnaires who participated in Jimmy's initiation into the Legion.
Mon-el played the Collector, who was assembling different Jimmy identities.
Rokk was Porcupine Jimmy, Chuck was Fat Jimmy Gim was Giant Turtle Boy, Cham was Elastic Lad, and Proty II(in his first appearance) was the Wolfman.
One of the clues was that Giant Tutrle Boy talked while the usually noisy Wolfman was silent.

That was one of the first Adventure Era stories I ever read  I thought it was quite interesting (and also thought, wow, Jimmy must be quite fit to be impersonated by a shirtless Cos!) I think Jimmy figured it out in the end, and Superboy was in on it, pretending to be weakened the whole time or something. will think of a group in a bit...
