I wish I knew! the only thing I can think of is Legionnaires who can change size, in a way... though I was doubting, because Elastic Lad isn't one of them. hmmmm

I wouldn't have made it without Ibby's last list. His comment about size-changing and including Proty made sense, and I suddenly realised that there was one more "shape-changer" introduced in the most recent version of the Legion.
As for the connection, I can only get as far as they are all the shape-changers / size-changers in the Legion. Let's be more specific and say they can all grow larger (including Vi in her LeViathan version).
(I guess Elastic Lad is excluded as he is usually only shown as stretching which is a bit different. Others like Plastic Man have been shown taking multiple forms and sizes but Jimmy tended to just stretch.)
If Ibby has a better guess he should go for it.

Thanks stile  this was also the best I could come up with, after seeing Cham, Vi, Yera and Gim on the list So I?ll just guess - Legionnaires who can naturally change their form? Elastic Lad is left out because his powers come from gingold?

stile's got it! It was Legionnaires who specifically can grow larger I nearly put Bouncing Boy in there but he only really expands to one other size so it's not really the same thing....take it away stile! (Although I do like your take on it as well, IB - that is a clever connection that would work as well)

In the six part Superman & the Legion of Super-Heroes there is a panel where he uses Gim's power in a surprise knockout punch to Gim. Not sure if he used it again after being drafted in to the Legion, but a good point. Still saying he has the power to grow is a bit like saying the Absorbing Man is made of steel. it's true but only when they are absorbing that particular quality. So I probably wouldn't have included him myself. Duplicate Boy on the other hand could have been included if he was ever a legionnaire. Anyway it was a good thought, idle.

(When I started counting up this "group" there were more than I thought, but at least it fives a lot of chances for hits on guesses.)
