That is correct! Proximity to Professor Harding's fireflies briefly restored Sun Boy's power, which gave him the idea that if he exposed himself to the breath of a Kryptonian Flame-Beast, that would do the trick permanently. A bit of an extreme solution I've always thought!

That was a great trivia question, EDE!

Good idea for a trivia question.

It reminded me of another scientist who appeared in Legion, Dr B'relden. What scientific field did he specialise in and what is he particularly famous for?

Not metallurgy.

Time for a clue. The doctor in question is older than the legionnaires. Much older.

Is he from the story where it turns out everyone is much older than we think, and that it's normal to be called Kid and Lad in your 40s?

So... he'd be a biologist involved in whatever the reason for longevity was?

I have a feeling that's correct!

I'll hazard a guess and go for genetics.

Oh that story! That one was so weird. Here's a way to not worry about the aging thing - Stop tying your comic to the "exactly 1000 years in the future" trope so you don't have to worry about 30 year old kids! laugh

It was nice to see that the reboot got away from that whole thing until McAvennie took over.

I thought that story was there to make *us* feel better about calling ourselves Lads, Kids and Lasses at our age. smile

Hey, hey, hey! Slow down! This isn't the "Kill this Thread" thread you know.

Just kidding! Great fun comments.

Yes that is exactly who he was and where he appeared. His exact speciality is never mentioned but since it is the Life Institute and he invented the life-extending serum biologist fits the bill. Geneticist may also be correct but I will give the win to Thoth as identifying the story.

(Maybe his speciality is philosopher based on his comment to Brainiac 5: "Masterful, youths! I commend you on your deception! And to think you are not yet even fifty! Amazing!")

Your turn Thoth.

Reading his line again, he sounds really creepy. Leching after people in their forties like that.

New Q when I get to some comics....

The Djinn have discovered space travel, and are tearing a bloody swathe across the galaxy. But they bite off more than they can chew, when they meet which race?

Sorry for the days long delay all. I've kind of been drowning in personal and work life stuff taking my time. So, new question!

Which Legionnaire had a statue in the Hall of Heroes with that Legionnaire's code name misspelled?

Dyslexic Damsel. It's what she would have wanted.

Valor: As sure as my name is Captain Albion, it should be Valour. Can't you speak the Queen's English?!

Is it Quantom Queen? Clearly a completely different character to the lady from the Wanderers.
