"False-Pretenses Lad" is a fan name given to the otherwise unnamed character shown being imprisoned in Adventure #327 after having joined the Legion under "false pretenses" to further a criminal plot.
Jan Jor's file is shown when the Legion is looking through records of ex-Legionnaires with criminal records in Adventure #354.
It's fairly common for fans to identify the two, though there's really little internal evidence that they are the same character.
If the two are distinct, then it's definitely Jan Jor that is the relevant one for the connection.

That's it! There's some near misses, like Dirk/Dyrk, and Laurel Gand/Kent would count except the latter was never actually a Legionnaire. I sort of thought the two Petes would clue you guys in much sooner. This grouping was at least partially inspired by idle's comment a couple of rounds ago: I must admit, I didn't think I'd ever get a chance to guess Jan Jor or False pretenses lad. I'm glad he came back in in time to provide Jan Jor as a guess again, and this time it was correct!

Nice connection, EDE! It didn't click in my mind at first. Actually, with Jimmy Olsen and Pete Ross in, I was thinking of connections involving the 20th century! it was only after seeing the full list that it clicked. I admit to being stumped when I saw James Cullen and Pete Dursin being there...! Then my mind went to, "Well SW6 Kid Quantum was a Protean in disguise, while Element Lad first joined as Mystery Lad, so did Jan Jor joining under false pretenses have something to do with it...?" But I could not, for the life of me, figure out how Porcupine Pete fit in with that! glad idle turned out to be prophetic  I don't think the connection would have clicked for me without seeing all 6 names together.

Nice connection. I honestly never think of Kid Quantum I as James so even though I noticed the Jans and the Petes, the Jameses didn't click. Good job Ibby. Oddly, the only other Legionnaires I almost never think of by true name Gear and Tellus. At least until the current legion  .
