I'll give it to you cause I wasn't sure if J&T were the answer, so I was yet again, unprepared.
So its XS on Sax, Dyrk on the 30th C version of a guitar and Ferro on some kind of bongo drum.
The vocalists were Sensor with the maracas, Kinetix with the snapping (is that even a valid thing, I mean, clapping yeah, snapping??), and Tri-purple singing and apparently doing the swim. Way to go Chuck. LOL
Back to you, Ibby.

Maybe Zoe had little finger cymbals? That two-page spread from L* 77 is sort of imprinted in my memory by now Lessee... Now that we're on that issue, which 7 Legionnaires skipped the beach party in L* 77?

Cosmic Boy, XS, Umbra, Kid Quantum, M'Onel, Gear, Thunder? (I'm assuming that Kon-El doesn't count)

Not correct:
Cosmic Boy XS Kid Quantum (I or II) Gear (not a Legionnaire at that point) Superboy Kon-El (not a Legionnaire at that point)

Hmm, I thought Brainy was his more sociable self at that point in time, that's why I didn't guess him.
Garth and Imra?

Brainy had regressed at that time, stung by the betrayal of his mother.
Not Garth and Imra.
you're on the right track with that guess though...

As I recall, he debated going back to his old personality after the maternal betrayal, but instead decided he liked having friends.
Nonetheless, if I'm on the right track...Jo and Tinya?

I'll let Ibby have the final say, but I think that's right. I think they stayed back to take advantage of the isolation and do.... other things...

Nonetheless, if I'm on the right track...Jo and Tinya? Brainy regressed, just not completely. And there's a bit of an editorial weirdness here, Brainy decided he liked having friends in L* 66... but he shifted back quite a bit still. He maintained his friendship with Gates and was generally nicer than before, but had A LOT of the old cold Brainy (see: LSH 113-115 and 120-121). you're correct, last two were Tinya and Jo. Breakdown: 1) Umbra - hates crowds 2) M'Onel - hates crowds 3) Thunder - visiting family in the far future 4) Brainiac 5 - not a fan of the beach 5) Gates - decided to use his vacation to visit Brainy 6) and 7) Apparition and Ultra Boy - volunteered for Legion HQ Monitor Duty so Saturn Girl could take off, and when they realized they were completely alone in HQ, they, uh, made Cub

Well, to be clear, we aren't COMPLETELY sure Cub came out of that. Although it would be a funny annotation on my timeline Chaim's turn!

I've read that issue (SLSH #256) a few times so it is clear in my mind. I particularly remember the (Scottish? - that's how I always imagined him) Captain of the SPs that come to arrest them for taking over the park. The look on his face in the next issue when they refuse to tell him why is brilliant and hilarious.
Here's one from around the same era. How does Blok use his "powers" to foil the starburst bandits?
