Did they give her a shrinking ray or some sort of device to help her?

EDE has it!

No statuettes involved. The legionnaires themselves choose to assist although they are not present. (Time viewers are wonderful devices. What would you look at through one?)

I'm a bit surprised no-one got this before now. It is actually the second part of the story where Supergirl's existence is publicly revealed to the world back in the Silver Age in Action Comics #285. Entire planets celebrate the event. Then Superman is called away and Supergirl has to deal with her first public menace and she is failing. The Infinite Monster is too much for her, until she has an idea. She makes a small rocket-shaped message capsule out of scrap metal and throws it hard enough that it breaks the time barrier (!) and it arrives at the Legion's HQ. Saturn Girl's telepathic powers are so awesome that she can sense it came from Supergirl. Brainiac 5 is thrilled to read her message, recounting publicly how he fell in love with her on a previous visit, in case anyone missed it, and quickly sends back in time to her the device she requested - one of his "ancestor's" shrinking rays. Unfortunately the Infinite Monster promptly steps on it but Supergirl is able to quickly rebuild it using her super-memory (and apparently a very quick x-ray vision scan) and shrinks the monster down to doll size. Then, kind-hearted girl that she is, she takes it to the Fortress of Solitude and puts it in a bottle next to Kandor (knowing as she does how much the people of Kandor LOVE living in a bottle). The Legion, watching through their time-viewer, see her victory and remove the (presumably lead) plate on a bust of Supergirl that had the date she was revealed to the world.

I have been reading through the early Legion stories and hadn't remembered the Legion's part in this story.

Take it away EDE.

The fact that it's not usually reprinted in Legion collections, despite having a fairly significant Legion appearance, probably means it's not as well known among Legion fans as it should be. It's been a long time since I've read it.

I think I may have read a synopsis of it before, but not the story itself.

It's also the story that proves that the Legion exists (as comic books characters) in the Marvel 616 universe as Mary Jane was depicted as giving Peter Parker Action 380 as a gift

Okay, new question:

Chameleon Boy once fought a reptilian alien carrying an Atomic Axe. Who helped him defeat it?

None of those three.

Hint: It's not a Legionnaire.

The pink female ambassador with a fin on her head? (I hope my memory of the character is correct, I don't really remember the story but it involved a gem.)

Not Janice Warren, Ambassador Jeryl, R. J. Brande, or GiGi Cusimano.

Hint: This story did not take place in the 30th/31st century.

Neither Lana nor Mr. Spock.

He and Cham take out that timeline's equivalent of the Persuader, a Gorn with an Atomic Axe!

yay!

And it was penciled by Jeff Moy, making me happy

ok lessee...

In the Reboot, the original plan was to reveal Condo Arlik (C), as Invisible Kid (Lyle)'s secret boyfriend.

In the end, though, we only really saw them interact on one occasion. Where was this? (I will accept the location OR the event).
