Find all about it here . I bought issues 1-2-3 the other day, and I was not disappointed! It is really one of the best book along Peter David's Fallen Angel(the art is by Leonard Kirk, BTW)!

why do i just love this book? is it the always surprising sudden violence? the suspense of 1 normal (?) guy hunting psycho metas? the way the past haunts all the players? or the brutal directness of the main character?

Or the great characterisation? Or the art? Or the surprising plots twists?

Well this had completely passed me by, but since the art team (Kirk and Riggs) is one of my all time favourites I may well have to have a look at it. I'm dropping a few books in the next month or so so I'll be looking for something to replace it and this sounds interesting, and you guys clearly rate it big time, so...

I also picked up the first couple of issues and found myself loving the book. This will replace H.E.R.O in my collection

Yep, got issues 2, 3 and 4 yesterday and I'm liking it quite a lot. Kirk and Riggs are, if anything, even better than they have been in the past. I also liked the fact that there's a Supergirl easter egg in #3.
That being said what with #1 being sold out I'm obviously missing part of the story. Can someone fill me in on what I missed in the first issue?

Sorry, Bevis! I can't find my issues(I have 6 boxes of comics in the room and it's nowhere to be seen!). I'll try anyway:
SPOILER > > > > IIRC, Clevenger is in jail, where he met Agent Bell and another guy from the FBI(don't remember the name) who want to make a deal with him: he can go out of jail if he helps the FBI in tracking a meta-human serial-killer. Clevenger do not want to go out, but then the FBI tell him who might be the next victim.
Meanwhile, others prisonners plan to kill Clevenger, but in the end it is the other FBI agent that is hurt(by the way, that guy and Clevenger know each others).
I'm sure I forgot something; maybe the others can help?

I read the first two issues and decided to stop. As much as I like the artistic team, I just don't like the character and the mindless violence.

So what are Celvenger's powers? Or is he just a really, really good tracker. The impression i got from the three issues I have is that he has at least a degree of super strength, but that could just be him being big and strong rather than anything super.

From the Pulse article: "Clevenger actually is NOT a metahuman. He's trained himself to a sort of scary degree of physical competence, and he's an experienced, intuitive detective, but he's still just a regular guy. Shoot him through the heart and he'll be just as dead as anybody else. That's part of the challenge he faces, since he specializes in profiling and tracking down metahuman criminals; when he finally does catch up with one, he's as susceptible to metahuman powers as the next guy."

I've just seen DC's sales figures for October.
This book may not last a year.

This does not surprise me...seems like most stuff DC places out there just does not hang for long. Frustrating really because I like this series..I did not think I would but I do. Now that H.E.R.O. is over I needed a different fix.
