Now after enjoying two of the Marvel Omnibuses, I finally went to get my first DC Absolute Edition (Crisis on Infinite Earths).
I was in for a little surprise: Granted, the beautiful bookcase, the awesome cover and the oversized format are fantastic, I like those. But why did they not use some glossy paper? Are all of the DC Absolute Editions printed on this kind of matt paper? Of course it's not actually bad, but I would assume that the colors would be looking even better on some glossy stock, like Uncanny X-Men Omnibus #1 which is just astonishing.
Does anybody know why DC does not go glossy?
