thanks for sharing these Barry. you are so generous. i love seeing the concept sketches as well as the pencils and inks.
interesting that you returned to your first sketch but made some of the SP's into Legionnaires. first instincts are usually right on. i'm also happy to see some different legionnaires get some cover time. who are you enjoying drawing the most these days? you do wonderful subtle things with both Shady and Light Lass.

It did make a bit of a change after the recent Supergirl features that were so bright doesn't it!

Glad you like how I'm treating Shady and Light Lass - they both have a nice little 'edge' to their characters that's fun to exploit in their expressions and body language.

Yes indeed - we're kicking into the second phase of 'the masterplan' now...

I'm continually amazed at the awesome work you put into these covers Barry. I think we need a Legion cover collection, like Superman is getting. But your inked, black and white covers need to be included. Sometimes color just doesn't convey what your inks do. Especially with this cover. I love the color one we've seen but your simple b&w final above just has more feeling, to me.
