I brought this up over in the Moonstar thread, but the topic goes way beyond just her, so I thought it deserved it's own thread.

Marvel's come out with a list of candidates for three of the four Horsemen of Apocolypse

There's some interesting ideas about it going on around the net.

One thing is an intereedting spoiler or X-Men #108:

(She did the same to Dani in New X-Men) I really hope Frost gets a thrashing for this. </span></span>

There's also the question of who will be the fourth Horseman.

Some are thinking Doop, apparently not without some reason. (How's he going to ride?)
Another suggestions are Xavier or Magneto. If it's one of them then that would explain Moonstar joining. They were both her mentors; either one would have a good chance at convincing her (and the character mentioned in the spoiler above).

Anyone else got theories?

I really hope it's not Sunfire. After he lost his legs, they said they still have plans for him - I hope this isn't it. The fact that it's so reminicent of Angel's recruitment is what makes me a little extra worried.

People are questioning whether or not Apocolypse actually has evil intentions this time around. He doesn't want mutants to go extinct, after all. So being a horseman (got it right that time ) might not be so bad as in the past.

Blech. All of this reminds me why I quit paying attention to the X-Men other than Astonishing.

Someone over at the CBR forums compared the list of potential Horsemen to the Wizard list of depowered characters. The ones on both lists are:

Dark Beast (Doc)
Dani Moonstar
Polaris
Sunfire

Espeacialy interesting if you've seen the upcoming covers. It can only be three of them, though, so I bet Dani's the one left out. :7

Well, regardless of who they are, at least we know it's not something they can't come back from considering Angel and Wolverine both used to be Death.

Yep, it could lead to bigger roles in the long term.

Considering that Dark Beast completely reengineered himself in XMU10 over a week, his depowerment wouldn't stick under any logic.

Oh, and Wizard's list is faulty, since Skein and another character are confirmed to be on it in error. I think there's a certain amount of wishful thinking involved therefore...

It is. He's on the XM184 cover with his AoA look, frying Colossus, Havok and Wolverine..

With legs. Well, fiery ones anyway.

*grumle grumble* ... at least he has his legs back. And the AoA design is kinda cool.... I'm not happy, but cautiously optimistic that he'll be a hero again before it's all over.
