There has been a thread about this some time ago, but I did not find it so I'll try to resuscitate the discussion here:

There have been lots of comments about Shooters excellent work in the Valiant universe. As I just discovered a really good offer on German ebay for about every Valiant book ever published (whole series for little money), I was wondering: Which book would you recommend for me to go hunting for?

I recently pre-ordered the Harbinger HC and could get the whole rest of the series now. There is the nearly complete Solar series to go for, the nearly complete Magnus (with Bedard and Giffen as writers later on), Eternal Warrior, Archer and Armstrong... everything, about 15 different offers.

As I don't want to gather a too large amount of comic books just right before my moving to a new flat next month, my question is: Which book should I put my money on? Which books did you like more, which books were rather average (or even bad)?

Maybe you can share your insights into your Valiant experiences with me. Thank you!
