#s 1-4 are definites... from there it's just the ladies who first came to mind... and that's leaving out Medusa, Magma, Madame Masque, Jean Grey, Thundra, Red Guardian, Hellcat, the Wasp etc. etc...

10. Greer Nelson (but *not* as Tigra)

9. Black Widow (Natasha, *not* the 'new' one)

8. Storm

7. Scarlet Witch (pre-sorceress days, with the
funky headgear)

6. Invisible Woman

5. Dani Moonstar

4. Darkstar (RIP)

3. Valkyrie (but with Aragorn)

2. Lorna Dane

1. Crystal

The only Marvel heroines that I really have a soft spot for are those from the original New Mutants -- Mirage, Karma, Wolfsbane, Magik, and Magma.

I also kinda like Jubilee, Husk, and M from Gen X, as well as Shadowcat.

Visually, my favorite Marvel fem is Dark Phoenix. Love the look of the Phoenix effect.

Scarlet Witch
Mantis

(I've fond kiddie memories of their AVENGERS stint together)

Magik

(I never really liked New Mutants after she was de-aged/offed)

Polaris
Marvel Girl/Phoenix

(loved the Neal Adams reprints featuring them and then the Cockrum issues)

Storm

(God bless Claremont, Cockrum and early Byrne)

Arcanna
Power Princess
Lady Lark

(Bless Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme, too, and the END OF A UNIVERSE graphic novel with unforgettable dialogue between Arcanna and the Princess)

I've also a soft sentimental spot for:

Medusa
Invisible Girl
Crystal
Moondragon
Tigra
Black Widow
Darkstar

Oh, and Warbird. You gotta love Carol.

I feel like I should mention She-Hulk and The Wasp too.

As a kid, I loved the Spider-Woman (that issue where she just about kills Nekra with her bare hands used to freak me out! Jessica just had the FREAKIEST assortment of foes-- Brothers Grimm, Gypsy Moth, Morgan LeFay) and Dazzler series, but wouldn't list them as favorites.

OH my GOD-- I've flipped my lid forgetting HELLCAT.

She was a very early favorite of mine and to this day I adore her AVENGERS stint. Also loved her early DEFENDERS stint. Great stuff!

What was done to her in the HELLSTORM series was absolute blasphemy and the reason I dropped that series immedietely.

I was thrilled when she was brought back and bought every issue of the mostly-dreadful but fairly amusing recent DEFENDERS series for her & Valkyrie.

In no particulur order:

Invisible Woman
Jean Grey/Phoenix
the Wasp
the Scarlet Witch
Warbird
Storm
Rogue
ShadowCat
Photon
Black Widow

Belive me, it was rough keeping many out. But I think Sue, Wanda, Jean, Jan and Ororo are the best "heroines" that Marvel has, and I've always loved Rogue, Natasha and Photon too. Kitty Pride has always been my favorite X-Man, since I've had a long time crush on her wink
