So dosen't this mean that Lyta (Fury II) dosen't really "belong" anymore than Power Girl?

I mean her (Lyta's) reworked origin should be just as invalid Power Girl's, right?

Or is she so obscure that they just don't care?

I think this is the most pointless mini-series ever. After four issues (of what amounts to filler), we're directed to IC to see how the feature character resolves herself to her origin. This entire mini could have been done with a three panel intro in IC.

I will say I like this origin most of all the possibilites that were floating around.

Well, I like the story arc if only for the *ahem* exposure it gave to PG and I liked seeing sides of her that aren't part of her stereotypical tough-girl act.

I'm okay with the outcome but felt it was a bit anti-climactic. I agree it was drawn out a bit too long though.

Her ability to be aware of the (current?) Legion is sort of perplexing to me.

I think it was more the fact that the uniforms are easier to recognize than anything else. I really think they were MEANT to be pre-WAK Legion.

I could be wrong though.

Well, I kind-of like it that it's stated once and for all that she is indeed the Earth-2 Power Girl she stated as and always should have been.

The story did feel incomplete, as Kara doesn't really defeat the Psycho Pirate or confront her origins, but since I'm getting IC anyway, I'm cool with it.

ADORED the 2-page spread of the Justice Society, circa ALL-STAR COMICS # 58-74, the tales I remember & cherish!

Not necessarily. If she found a place in the new universe, she fits. The only person retrofitted into the universe for her was Derek Trevor, Joan Dale's husband. Power Girl was different because she had no past and her powers weren't even the same.

Okay so what did Arion mean when he mentioned Peege's mother in a previous JSA arc? The way it was written, even Psycho Pirate didn't seem sure of her origin, as if he were looking for confirmation.

This was a bad choice for a starting arc. I'm disappointed in the outcome, there was no resolution. This is simply the 6th mini series to tie in to IC. For the first time, Johns has let me down. And this is what he does when he really likes the character?

Sorry, but I'm done with the title. I wasn't satisfied with the opening arc, I'm not going to give it any more chances. This was definitely a stretched out 2 parter, and such meiodcrity, they don't deserve my support.

I don't know about PGs mother, CJ. You'd think that since Johns wrote both stories that he would have linked them together.

As for JSA:C, it's certainly up to you, but you do know that it has a rotating creative team, right? You could always buy on a case-by-case.

I think Arion's comments are throwaways that they decided to ignore rather than address in this story. Hence the lines about her making up memories to cover up the gaps.

I think that when he started hinting about her origins, he had a different origin in mind for her but as time went on, editorial mandates kicked in and he went with this.

The story's finish *was* disappointing, I agree. I liked the art- particularly the 'reunited' JSA-- though the tantalizing glimpses of Helena Wayne and the adult Robin are sort of cruel, in a way.

I really enjoyed the maternal Ma Hunkel being there for poor Power Girl (I hope 'poor Power Girl' isn't a concept that'll continue indefinitely... let the girl build her own dang family! It ain't easy- but lots of people do it.)

I understood about the rotating creators on the title, yeah. But I'm disappointed in the tale presented here as the opening arc. I don't think that was a good move, editorially. I don't agree with how the story was presented or delivered. Similar to other people's reaction to the 'Sacrifice' story and it's impact on the OMAC mini.

This title more so than JSA feels like a milk machine, and I'm not that atttached to the JSAers.

Hmm...weren't reading Infinity, Inc. back in the day, eh? Fury - Lyta Trevor - is the daughter of Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. Or she was until CoIE. Power Girl was also a member of Infinity, Inc. along with Hector and Lyta. [/b]
I only said it coz i think Fury is Power Girl in the current DC Universe....or is she? confused

Nope. JSA-C #4 and Infinite Crisis #1 make that clear.

Actually, Power Girl is a young, alternate version of Dolly Parton, with out the help of doctors.

I'll bet if the old Comics Code has anything to do with it, Power Girl would be off to hospital to get her silicon-implant bazongas reduced... nod

Yeah didn't do much for me. We didn't get any answers as to what Arion said about her mother. Or the fortune teller said about her living backwards in time or whatever.

I agree that Geoff was going to make her from ZH Legion era and then IC happened.

So did "Infinite Crisis" 2 come out yet? Can someone tell me the resolution and save me $2.99, or whatever? I'm among those who's a bit disappointed at having been led along like this.

Amanda Connor makes P.G. truly decorative, but I wanted something truly classified, arcane, interesting, not a lead-on to yet another series.

Why? She was built this big back when she first started out.

Is it true that in the 1970s run of All-Star Comics they drew PG's knockers a little bigger each issue, to see if anyone would notice?
