I'm not including any spoilers just yet, just curious as to what everyone's thoughts were?

Personally, I loved it and was quite surprised by how good it was. Felt like I was reading the JLA again.

It was ALMOST my top book this week and would have been if Booster #2 hadn't come out.

My thought is that you were reading JLA again. This leads right into issue #13.

I liked it. The characters were handled well.

Yeah, this is McDuffy's story, leading straight into his runon JLA. So it's a fair assessment, Quis.

I -should- be getting all the wedding-related stuff with my next shipment, due next Monday I hope.

POV,

I felt this was much better than the Bridal Planning issue that preceed it. The Bridal Planning issue wasn't bad. It was OK. This was a bit better.

Quis,

I realize that it lead into #13. To elaborate, for me, this was the first time in the last two years that I felt like I was reading a true JLA comic.

I know a lot of folks like Meltzer's run but it never really did anything for me. This was like a breath of fresh air.

I felt like it was a continuation of Meltzer's run. Especially with what I put in the spoiler.

Yay McDuffie.

Still has the modern decompression illness, but at least it doesn't feel like its plodding along like it did under Meltzer. The villain threat is kinda neat, kind of cheezy in that Superfriends kinda way (thats good because this is JLofA and its supposed to be a comic book).

Yeah Meltzer's book had a moment or two... (in like 13 issues) but overall it was a disappointment.

I can't believe that they're getting married in the Cave. How... romantic?

They wouldn't let her dress like that in a church.

When I saw the dress, I thought for a minute that Green Arrow was marrying Courtney Love.

I did not like the sex scenes or Dinah swearing. It just seemed too out of character.

It was GREAT! I read it last night.

My sole complaint-- no Ed Benes on the art, although it is difficult to complain about Mike McKone.

This next run looks to be much better than the previous, although I enjoyed the previous run well enough.

Yeah, I'm almost tempted to collect McDuffy's run. I hate collecting books by arc, though; I may as well wait for the trade.

On the GA/BC wedding special, the Amanda Conner art was the best part, including how hot Dinah looked and how well she did all the JLAers faces. It was nice to see the camraderie among the heroes.

Still...some of it felt cheesy laugh Probably more the fight than the bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Best page: the panel where they all read the invitations.

On the JLA Wedding special it was pretty good, but I wouldn't call it excellent. Something else else felt off and felt missing. Hal and John's dialogue felt weird. Roy did too. But maybe McDuffie just needs to get into his stride on Roy and Hal.

Still, it was pretty good. Better than Meltzer's stories, and I'm glad to see Firestorm in JLA.

The super-heroines being at stip club felt a little wrong though. At least Wonder Woman being there. But there were some funny moments.

IIRC, there's the Black Canary Wedding Planner, the JLA Wedding Special, and the Green Arrow/Black Canary Wedding Special. There was also a 4 issue Black Canary mini where she decided to accept Ollie's proposal and there'll be a new Green Arrow/Black Canary series starting next month.

Arachne, thanks. I read the Wedding Planner and JLA Wedding Special. Still haven't read the GA/BC Wedding Special.
