THE LEGION #29 Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art by Chris Batista and Chip Wallace; cover by Tony Harris and Tom Feister
The penultimate chapter of “Foundations” sees the past and future of the DCU’s most monumental menace collide, as time itself collapses! In the 31st Century, on one tiny, surviving scrap of the continuum, the Legion stages a final, desperate effort to restore cosmic order and prevent the total eradication of their universe.

Oh frell...
Please tell me they put everything back together EXACTLY as it was... more like that Avengers story where Spidey saved the universe than the Morduverse/GlorithValorverse "softboot"

I don't think DC's that stupid to reboot the Legion again when it's simply not nessacary. Maybe they just restore cosmic order as they should be doing.

I thin it's worth noting that even as this story is going on, in the very storyline that brings Superboy into the fold....
...the Superman titles appear to be getting a bit of a reboot...revamp...soft boot...whatever.
In fact in the January Superman titles, Superman is gone, following some trouble with The Futuresmiths (whoever they are).
And the January Superman titles are written by... DnA.
It seems rather more than a coincidence to me that just as Superman's timeline is being played with, so is the Legion's, and DnA are tied to both.

Soft boot is my guess, not unlike the shift in characterization and atmosphere that occurred when DnA first came on board four years ago. There's the interview not too long ago where Wacker talked about "fresh starts" for everyone, but I hardly think the slate will be wiped clean in light of recent spoilers about the Legion returning to the Kwaiverse after Foundations to engage the Credo and such. On the other hand, I won't be sorry to see the most egregious dangling subplots finally come to an end.

I love figuring out definitions for all these words....
I think Superman is getting a soft boot, which will allow Superboy to be in the Legion (among other things). But I don't think the Legion is getting any sort of revision.
The way I see it:
REBOOT = Total kick start, throws out old history
SOFT BOOT = Folds in changes to history but leaves much intact
REVAMP = Leaves history intact, introduces very different perspective/style

I'll be happy if the final fight takes more than one panel and actually has something to do with several layers of planning put into place. Well I cannot see Darkseid going in for the old cosmic reboot. Could this be a Darkseid vs. someone with Legion caught in the middle? THAT would be epic. BTW: Ferro front and center on a cover??? THAT is intriguing.

I think when they give the title whatever boot they're planning, they should replace Sensor with me. After all, I have much nicer skin (no scales on me, buddy boy), and believe me, you can never have too much ample cleavage to draw in the fanboys. And you will NEVER see a raccoon rinsing out my dainties

Well. it says "The penultimate chapter of "Foundations" sees the past and future of the DCU¹s most monumental menace collide, as time itself collapses. In the 31st Century, on one tiny, surviving scrap of the continuum, the Legion stages a final, desperate effort to restore cosmic order and prevent the total eradication of their universe. " Kinda sounds like Pocket Universe to me.

It's become like a gut response - we tremble in fear of another reboot. The carnage, the confusion, the crashing continuity .... fans are an anxious bunch.

I think a new littles changes could be good. First, I'm agred with Princess Crujectra. This is my wish list: Sensor for The original Projectra Shikari for Dawnstar The silly nun Andromeda for Supergirl or the preboot Laurel Gand Gates for Veilmist Wildfire (two souls) for Drake The same for Live Wire and Element Lad Kinetix Hypertaxis for the old Zoe The cook Tenzil for Matter Eater Lad The powerless Dyrk Morgna for Sun Boy The Mordru's daugther for Nura's sister: Mysa Spider Girl in The Legion again And bring back Colossal Boy The Cosmic Boy's real love : Lydda Chemical King
From UK with glamour.
