Not sure if anyone is getting this, but the art is really good. Like Red Sonja hasn't always been a tasty treat to look at, but I am finding it visually yummy. Story is okay. A little drawn out and slow paced for my liking, but I will keep getting it...
I just can't BLOK it out!

Yeah, story is a bit slow, but I think that's because the writer(s) want to end each issue with a cliffhanger.
1950's flicks, anyone?

I agree - the story is ok, but not blowing me away. I am really liking the artwork though - and the latest cliffhanger was a jaw-dropper, IMHO. I'll read it awhile longer. I am a little annoyed with the variant covers, though. Anyone know how this is selling?

I have picked up the series as well. I agree with everyone above. The story is a little slow but the eye candy art helps. It is a pretty book.
I hate the multiple covers as well. Pick one cover add the rest as pin up pages.
Looking for Earth Prime.

I finally picked up 1 and 2-- I settled on the Linsner #1 and JG Jones's cover for the second issue. I hope DDP isn't shooting themselves in the @$$ with all the freaking variant covers. The interiors by Mel Rubi are lovely... I hope we eventually get covers by HIM. Novel idea, huh? The series artist doing his own covers? :rolleyes:
Not sure how much I'm going to like this book... I love Dark Horse's CONAN series, but they've got Kurt Busiek writing, and he's intentionally doing a chronological interpretation of REH's works. Remains to be seen if I'll become as enamored of this series.

as most of you have said the art is great. the variants don't bother me. I just pick out the one I like best. The story is good, the only thing hurting is the delays so far. but according to the head honcho at dynamite, they will get back on track soon.
