I did and I couldn't help but be reminded of the New Blue Beetle and Atom.

It'll probably depend on the success of the cartoon. I say three crossovers tops.
^sarcasm, btw.

I don't care what he is, but I do feel that this is a ploy just to get people more hyped for the cartoon. I mean, they figured they'd probably have to introduce this guy after the cartoon, why wait?

Nice costume. Is that the cover for #4? Is it Reis? I like the look.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

Knowing newsarama, probably 10 seconds after the colorist touched up the first pencil sketch. But honestly, it will take one HELL of a story to get me invested in someone I assume DC will just kill off in the next three years. And a teenager to boot? At DC that usually means a brutal mutilation.

I'm intrigued. Aqualad in New Mexico???? Nothing against New Mexico, but it's not exactly the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
With the cartoon set to hype his popularity, I give him a longer lease on life.
Just spouting off.

He will be murdered by Black Manta, return from the dead and turn evil, becoming the new Black Manta after killing the current one. Sigh...
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

I predict it happens within 1 year of the YJ cartoon's cancellation.

Remember when there'd be new comics characters created, and we were actually excited about them?
I predict dies in dramatic arc in the cartoon, and actually survives a year longer in the comics.

I wonder if this Aqualad will have water powers, but not be a swimmer? I believe Geoff Johns has said somewhere or other that Aqualad's been taught to fear the water by his parents. Reinforcing an unfortunate stereotype.
