I won't be picking it up. Claremont needs some stellar writing along with severe editorial guidance before I'll pick up any of his books.
I did hear that Claremont intends to explore the Wisdom/Kitty relationship. I have a hard time seeing it work when they live across the ocean from one another.

Meh. I'm with you dude. Claremont = the suck. And how he intends to do Kitty/Pete when Piotr is back and all... lovey with Kit in Joss's book... yeah. Whatever.
And as for that certain pink-haired mutant... well, all I can say is that... if they were going to have a pink-haired mutant, why not just use Marrow??
But then, I've never really been a fan of hers... except in Ultimate. She kicks ass there!

It's too bad, but I have a hard time reading Claremont these days. He made that franchise what it is, but I can barely get through his stories for some reason - not that they're so bad, but his writing can't hold my interest.
I stopped reading the previous Excalibur before Pete Wisdom came on board. What his story/powers?

Well, I always give Claremont a try, b/c he still surprises me.
This team does look cool, especially the girl being talked about (Fine, I'll spoil it...ready....ready?...sure?...ok, it's Dazzler). I hate seeing Juggernaut good though.
Reboot- Pete Wisdom as Ellis' Mary Sue? Good call, and one I never gave much thought to. Definately true though.

OK, I haven't seen the cover. Is the pink-haired person Marrow, Psylocke, or (and this is sort of out of left field, except Excalibur-related) Tangerine? She was a red-head, but I'm stretching to see if she'll make the cut.

NEW EXCALIBUR #3 So who exactly is going to be in the NEW EXCALIBUR? Everyone turned down membership. Pete Wisdom isn't a character I care enough about to read only for him. I like Captain Britain, but not in stories centered solely around his mythology. If that's the thrust, I'll be dropping.

Fun to see She-Hulk guest star in her capacity as a lawyer-- but no mention of her little fling with Juggernaut? He's the only reason I'm reluctantly picking this up. I like Nocturne, as well, but not enough to justify continued exploration of Captain Britain and co. I'll give it another two issues...

So...(and I'm hoping someone *cough Reboot cough* can help me)...is the Black Knight (Dane Whitman) a current member of the New Excalibur? Is he a permanent member? He's probably my favorite non-founder Avenger and one of my favorite Marvel characters of all, so I'd probably buy the book just for him. Also, I've just read a great interview with Frank Tierri, writer of Excalibur and it actually sounds like this is a good comic now. It definately seems like we're getting the REAL Juggernaut back, instead of the pansy of the last few years.

Yes and no - he's in the current arc, and (judging from the #15 cover), the next arc, but I wouldn't bet on him sticking around with Claremont's return (looking very like #16, since he's starting Exiles in Jan and #15's confirmed as Tieri's last issue) - or, indeed, him acknowledging Tieri's issues in any way.
Far, far better under Tieri than Claremont though...
