As long as there's GA characters, or even characters with a logical connection to the GA heroes, I'm in.
And as much as we'd all like to see it, I have a hard time believing their going to go through with Danny Blaine. It smells of a bait and switch to me. Especially, with the mystery surrounding the character.

if it's not going to be Thom Kallor from the previous Legion, who else could it be?

well i currently buy 'JSA' so this will be no change for me !!
but i am excited about the title change [ it gonna be cool to have the Justice Society Of America back, and running alongside, the Justice League Of America and i hope we get to see the annual 'meet ups' !!?? ]
and i'm looking forward to seeing some line up changes .....
btw ..... why does ALAN SCOTT sport an eyepatch in the new 'CHECKMATE' series ?? [ i haven't been buying the 'Classified' book, but i can't say that i noticed an eyepatch ??? ]
Matthew.

checkmate doesn't tell why, but i read somewhere on the DC message boards that an upcoming issue of 52 will reveal why. either way, i hope Alan loses the 'eyepatch' look soon, really really soon....

Is Alan Scott still made of Green Flame? If so, I can't imagine why he can't just will himself up another eye (cuz you know he's gonna lose that eyepatch two seconds after this Checkmate chapter of his life is over).

Having seen the end of this week's 52, I recommend catching next week's issue for the story of Alan's eye.
Just spouting off.

The cover for the new Justice Society of America #1 is up at newsarama here . It's a homage to All Star Squadron #1 with Wildcat, Power Girl and Mr Terffic standing over a table of pictures of potential members. Other then the usal suspects - GL Scott, Flash, Hawkman, JJ Thunder, Star Girl and Stripsey, Sand and Hourman -others that show up are Damage, Superman, Wonder Woman, Obsidan, and the new Starman. There seems to be a new Liberty Belle and a another male character that I can't identify.

Well, we already know that <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">Hourman and Damage</span></span> make the cut.
I wonder if the new Liberty Belle is Jesse Quick?

I saw this in Wizard, but for some reason I thought it was already released on the Net.
And the new guy looks like a new Mr. America.

I was going crazy over that... a great tribute to an old favorite series of mine, that it sometimes feels like no one else remembers (except for a bunch of people here).

I got to say hi to Rags Morales at the Philly Wizard World convention today. When I mentioned how most of the artists on JSA have been incredible since its revival, he said that Steve Sadowski had "set the bar high" and they've been trying to maintain it ever since. Nice guy!
There were very few creators I knew there today, but I got to say hello to several I'd never met before-- Rags, Jim Starlin, Mike Manley, Sean Chen & Franchesco!

my bet of who will make the JSA roster: Liberty Belle, Stargirl, Mr. America II, Damage, Hourman II, JJ Thunder, Starman, and hopefully Sand! Surprised to see Mr. Terrific on the cover - wondering if he is a JSA reservist since he will be occupied in Checkmate! ?
What about Manhunter? theres been a rumor that Manhunter and Obsidian would end up joining JSA.
I hope to see Atom Smasher and Brainwave II joining sometime soon.

I hope they do keep Stargirl in the group, as she's been one of my favorites...but the fact that they're pushing this mystery Starman has me worried. It already seems positive Adam won't return to the group, and he was my other favorite...

There have been guesses that Stargirl might end up in Titans (East or West) due to her being a younger hero. That wouldn't be so bad, although I prefer her in JSA.

She'd be okay in Titans, but...I dunno...
JSA is one of the few series that in my mind was so perfectly balanced, that any kind of real shake-up almost can't help being a step down... (imo)

Isn't Stargirl Geoff Johns's favorite character? It seems unlikely he would do anything bad by Courtney. At the same time, having a Starman AND a Stargirl in the same team would seem odd, unless there were some close personal connection between them (like Hawkman and Hawkgirl).
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

I agree with those who say that JSA reached a crescendo and has been been just good lately. I think the crossover with Hawkman in Kadaq was the peek.
Yeah Johns created the Courtney character as a memorial to his sister who died in a plane crash. So i'm sure she's not going anywhere.

Since Geoff writes Titans as well, using her there instead of JSA would still keep her under his control...

Yep that's what i was trying to say. Lack of coffee makes me incoherent. Courtney's tied to Geoff not any title. I hope that that the young Liberty Belle on that cover is Jesse Quick. They brought her in to JSA 3 years ago now and basically didn't use the character at all.

Since the Speed Force is gone, it would be a shame to leave her powerless and give someone else the Liberty Belle powers.

I also was thinking Jesse should be the new Liberty Belle. Its ripe with great stories, given Libby's relationship with Jesse over the years.

Personally I am hoping for a roster shake up. Geoff did it to the Titans...which I am not so sure about thus far.
I would love Jesse back. Would make sense to make her Liberty Belle since it doesn't seem she would get speed powers.

I think Courtney belongs with the JSA. I haven't cared much for her working with other teens (except Jakeem) in the forced crossovers (like the one in her own title with Young Justice).
She's a Legacy hero, even though that was not her intent at all when she started out...
I didn't really think the title needed renumbering or a roster shakeup! It and Legion are my two favorite titles. Why mess with a good thing?
