Yay me! I've been scouring all of the trivia threads trying to find anything I might know the answer to, so if that one was an easy question, I'll take it! How about this:
Once in every lifetime Comes a love like this Oh I need you and you need me
Ooh that Lemnos! He makes me so angry, so, so, what was I saying? Oh well, must not have been very important.

It's a sitcom. And it was British...

No, so how about another hint then. This sitcom frequently featured several cameo guest appearances including Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French.

No and no. Perhaps this show was a little more obscure than I thought. Here in the states the show ran on MTV in the mid 80's for about 2 years even though there were only 12 episodes. It was the story of four college students living together. More hints?

Nope. The tv theme song was originally performed by Cliff Richard, and one of the room mates on the show idolized Cliff Richard.

Very good LAM, you are correct. The cast and guest stars were brilliant. And more than one of the main actors had recurring roles on Ab Fab as well. It's your go now

Your clue was pretty mind-bending, Insouciant Lad, great job of putting it all together
Ok...here goes nothing:
There's an open road and days like this Take a chance and catch the wind There are times lost a dream or two down the trail - at the end was you
There's an open road and days like this, take a chance and catch the wind A brand new life, a brand new life around the bend....

I know this is correct and I choose to pass on my turn to whoever wants it. I can't think of a single show that might stump anyone.

OK and here is the first part of the opening theme
"__________, ___________, a 4-15: Man with a gun." "____________, no warrant."
Hint it is from the 70s and the two lead stars were very cute in a clean-cut sort of way.
