I attended the DC nation panel at NY Comic con last friday, and during the panel discussion Dan Didio brought up the Subject of what was better or worse running zombies or vampires with machine guns. the responce he got from the crowd was mixed with no real real thunderious outcome from the audience on either or but as i'm sitting there with Ravenette in the audience we looked at each other and was like, *doing my worst William Shatner immitation from Star Trek V* "what would a Vampire need with a machine gun?" i mean a vampire is a weapon in itself. from Buffy to the Anne rice novels to Vampire the mascerade,Kindred the Embrace. the Vampire is ultimate weapon, wouldn't an armed vampire kinda cheapen the thrill of the hunt? i mean the running zombies from the remake of the Dawn of the Dead movie kinda scared me and they did seem cool to a point, but it just seems redundant for a vampire to shoot someone then drink their blood. it even got weird when the guy behind me actually argued the point of an armed Vampire. so i'll put it to my fellow legion Worlders: what do you think is better, Running Zombies or Vampires with Machine guns?

Zombies all the way. Vampires with weapons is, as you say, redundant. If a vampire needed to use a weapon it would generally only be against another vampire or undead/transformed creature that he wouldn't want to pollute his body by biting.

I really want to say Vampires with machineguns. My old Vampire the Mascerade character was something of a gunfighter. However as LL said, I usually only used them against other Vamps....so Zombies for me too.

I'm with you in that I don't think vampires need machine guns. What would make vampires more dangerous? Sun block 1,000,000,000,000.

machines guns would sorta de-vamp the vamps. what's the point?

my question would be, will the (only) person who has voted for vamps w/m.g.s ever 'fess up? wink
