ok! you work for dc comics and dan didio ask you to write a new legion series: it has to be similar to the marvel comics Exiles: the Time Trapper takes various legionnairs from different versions, timelines and periods and creates a team that has to travel in the multiverse to save the day (or other targets!!!)

which legionnaires (and allies) do you choose?
which story do you invent?

Hmmm.... I think I would use a team made up of Legion Reservists. Sort of a "Hey, why did we never sss much of the Reservists? Because they were always off in the multiverse saving the day."

I'd alternate use of the following, with a team of 3-5 characters in each issue/ story arc:

Lots of potential for in group tension, as well as a powerful enough group to meet the various adventures awaiiting them.

Ground rules:

- 6 members
- Members are from alternate realities (and so far, in the two teams (Exiles & Weapon X) we've seen, only two members [Blink & Sabretooth] come from the same reality)
- Most members are different from their MU counterparts, or have no MU counterparts.

Lightning Lord - Mekt Ranzz who was always good. He joined the legion to find his brother Garth, the villianous Live Wire.

Karate Kid - the zen one from the reboot

Micro Lad - Gim Allon from Imsk


First task: Get Sinestro's yellow power ring.

Imra, leader- plucked out of TMK era, she has no real interest in adventuring, only wants to get back to her family, but feels too obligated to not play den mother to:

Nemesis Kid, circa Grell era- a proven legionnaire, ever since single-handedly defeating the evil trairtor Karate Kid, who sold out Earth to the Khunds.

Sensor Girl- a tormented Levitz-era SG, who simultaneously loathes NK, but at the same time senses his innocence, unlike the NK who she killed.

Reflecto- the team muscle. Superboy's body permanently occupied by another mind, who sometimes remembers being the late Jo Nah, but other times forgets, retreating into an aloof, arrogant fellow whose only goal is to stalk/'protect' Tinya.

Tinya of SW6- who's very weirded out by the older man who sometimes claims to be Jo, and who's always watching.

Brin of DnA- trying to get friendly with this new Tinya, but risking bodily harm from Reflecto.

Nightwind, team leader, from a reality where she was one of the Legion's founders and the Legion's first leader. She's stunned to find out that she was never really a Legionnaire in any of the other realities and her confidence suffers as a result.

Kinetix, from a reality where she found the Eye and became the Emerald Empress, regaining her psychokinetic powers and never becoming zombified or terrorformed. She's succeeded in controlling the Eye but must be careful never to let her control slip lest the Eye take control.

Violet from the DNA reality, who is keeping a very close eye on this Kinetix, and is torn between her friendship with Zoe and her mistrust of the Eye

Wildfire from Legion 34, where we get to see him deal with the slow draining of his energy

Gates from a reality where he's leading a revolution against a dictatorial UP and its youthful enforcers/teenage death squad - the Legion

Mon-el from a reality where he was never released from the Phantom Zone. The Trapper has put his body "on hold", so to speak, so he doesn't suffer from his lead poisoning - but the Trapper can turn it off any time he wants to. His stay in the Zone endowed him with telepathic abilties, which he's kept hidden so far.

Their mission: to safeguard the ancestors of the reimagined Legionnaires to ensure that their reality will come true. It seems that someone is trying to hunt them down and slaughter them in order to alter the reality and change it to the DNA one. (This sets the stage for Shikari's appearance as a pawn of the villain, after which she redeems herself and joins this team).

The Trapper's given his word that after the missions they have to perform he'll send them back home, and he'll reward them by:

-giving Gates the info and tech he needs to win his revolution;
-ensuring that Nightwind's legend will live on not only in her own reality but in all other realities (partly by having the DNA Nightwind become a Legionnaire too);
-giving Kinetix complete control over the Eye and the ability to send it away and break free of the bond whenever she wishes;
-plucking Violet's and Wildfire's teammates out of the timestream to safety, and for Drake stopping the draining process that threatens to kill him, while for Vi promising that the Eye will never try to control her again and de-terrorforming Zoe
-curing Mon of his lead poisoning and dropping him back into his 20th century universe

I like this idea.

1. Superboy (Kal-el)-since the Kal Superboy was shown to be an alternate version created by the Time Trapper, he certainly fits the criteria. Superboy is the team leader.

2. Chameleon Boy of the SW6 batch- supposedly killed when the Dominion's chambers blew up, he was snatched away in the millisecond before their destruction.

3. Computo 5- Brainiac 5, critically wounded during the Magic Wars, is forced to bond his consciousness within the Computo matrix to survive, resulting in the composite being.

4. Emerald Empress- This Sarya of Venegar was a force for good in her reality, having freed herself from the Eye of Ekron's evil influence. The Eye, however, is always seeking a way to subvert Sarya's intentions, and there is a constant battle of wills for control.

5. Phantom Girl- Tinya from the 5yg was supposedly lost in a space storm in the Bgztl buffer zone. We find out that she was actually taken to join this team.

6. XS- just because she's the only newer character I like.

FIRST MISSION: The team must prevent three teens from saving a wealthy industrialist from assassination. Having failed to foil the murder, the three teens vow to use their powers to bring justice to the galaxy as the Legion of Super Heroes...but only if Brande dies!

This is smiliar to the Legion Forever mission from pick a Legion team thread. I 'll play!

1. Lauren Gand - the grown up daughter of Laurel and Rond. Has her mother's power and her dad's ring that dosen't work...or does it? Is horriffed to learn that her reality never existed.

2. Dirk "Magno" Magz - taken before his loss of power, is disheartned to learn that he dosen't appear in any other timeline. Sees this as his chance to prove himslef

3. Saturn Queen TMK era - taken right after her wedding from Tenzil, is pregant with his child.

4. Douglas Nolan - TMK Mordu's alternate timeline. Has his natural iron super abilites plus enhanced strength and his sense of honor intact

5. Bouncing Boy - first appearnace, moral guide of team and also stress reliver. In his era, he never married Lu or ever left being an Legionnarire

6. Element Girl - last survivor from the plant Trom, she watched her brother scarfice himself to save her from the evil Shadow Empire lead by it's Shadow Empress.

There first mission from the Infinte Man---help Computo kill Brianic 5!

1.Computo - the Danielle Foccart version. She acts as the teams leader

2.Tellus - the teams token telepath/non-humunoid

3.Titania - from an alternate reality, this Titania serves as the team muscle

4. Spidergirl - personality-wise the vesion seen at the end of 5YL....costume-wise, the original green white and black version

5. Mysa - the purple armoured version we see during part of 5YL

6. Chemical King - just because i think he got a raw deal last time around

Their first mission; to find the lost world of Colu.
